Odds are you will just push the date out as your addict brain will give you some reason to keep stuffing your lip with cancer candy. Start today. There isn’t a better day than today to start taking back control of your life. It does suck for a while. But quitting ODAAT - one day at a time, and letting the days add up, it doesn’t take too long before you start to see light at the end of the tunnel. Frankly, no one here cares until you actually stop ingesting nicotine. This is a nicotine free resource for those that have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to their addict brain and stop making excuses.
I would be willing to bet every single person here set numerous quit dates for themselves at one point or another. And why not? It's super easy to 'quit' in the future while finger banging a can of dirt. But what we all realized is that until we bind ourselves to the accountability of a site like KTC, we continued to fail and make excuses.
I truly hope the next 8 days of dipping don't give you cancer. Being quit for an extra 8 days seems a lot easier to me than going through chemo and maybe having half your jaw removed.

There isn’t a better day than today to start taking back control of your life. It does suck for a while.
