Question of the Day:

What are you most looking forward to this weekend?

staying Quit, mang plans to take the wife out of town NEXT weekend, having a beer, watching some football, reading.

Hopefully by monday to be adjusted to Nexium and having it work for me. Now just getting used to goofy way it makes me feel and having the house rona free, yippee. But realizing everyday is a new chapter in life dip free thanks to KTC and the awesome people here. Thanks everybody but big shout out to my quit bud @stillbrewing, you rock my friend!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Thefranks5
Thanks Doug!  I hope you get that reflux under control.  I have to return to work next week so I'm going to watch football, drink a few beers , make some excellent food, relax, and enjoy the last few days of my vacation/quarantine.
hoping I can get a deer on the ground so I don’t have to sit in a cold stand no more! Wish me luck on that big buck!

Sorry Chewie about changing the subject. My question is if you have bad reflux issues after quitting and were able to get it under control but then got rona did your reflux stay down or did it flare up with a vengeance. I was doing real well and then rona showed up and the reflux is as bad now as it was 6 months ago. I have talked to a few other quitters and they had the same issue. Just was curious if this a another side effect of this goofy virus that we were blessed with, thanks.

Have you tried omeprozale?  I take it every other day, and it controls my acid reflux like a champ.  My dr. prescribed it, but you can get it OTC.

-Jeff
I have been fighting with myself about taking anything as I never have except the 30 plus years of self medication with tobacco. I have LPR "silent reflux" and it came back with the rona which was weird but its very painful when its bad and takes weeks to heal. I need to just suck it and get some OTC even if its the plain label low dose, thanks.

Seriously has helped me with my reflux.  My nephew has permanent scarring of his esophagus from his reflux.  I know just how painful it can be.  Let me know if you try it, and how it's working for you.

-Jeff
I will be picking up some tomorrow. After discussing it with another awesome quitter who is a nurse I just need to step up and do it. Amazing how we covered up so much with our addiction to have it show when we quit.

NEVER feel bad about changing the topic @Thefranks5 - that's why these boards are here!

I've got a ton of experience with reflux, but can't speak on the rona aspect. Looks like you've gotten some good advice from others. Hope you get some relief soon.

Question of the Day:

How far into the new year is it still acceptable to say 'Happy New Year' when you see someone?
Mid-January seems reasonable.
