@chewie
In attempt to prevent redundant questions, how can I search previously posted material? I’ve tried the search bar, but received an error message stating that I am not allowed to search.
Click your profile tab and click show posts. If you are looking for somebody else you need to search them using the members tab and search from there. Hope this helps as Chewie might be busy playing the snow. We are still waiting for the worst to come here in Pa.
@Thefranks5 Is there a way to perform a search for a general topic or word?
@stoneman469 That I don't know. We might have to wait until Chewie gets done playing in the snow or somebody a whole lot smarter then me can answer.

@stoneman469 - Sadly, the search function here on the forums leaves a little bit to be desired... with so many records, members, posts, etc. a general 'search' tends to throw that error. @Samrs can give you a more technical answer if you're interested.

That said, this is a great place to ask a question... even if it's rehashing old material, it gives us another opportunity to explore the topic and you never know who's thinking about doing the same search you are and bringing it back to the surface is helpful.

Hey brother. What is going on with the site? Im still quit with swarmin hornets of 2016, but I can’t figure out the new site. I’m struggling a bit and still chew the lip...fucking pitiful I know. But sometimes it feels like falling back into the comfort of a big fat lip seems good.

Good Morning,
I've been informed that posting a separate post may garner more support, so here goes.. Is anyone willing to share their experience with medicines and the mental game of withdrawal? I have an appointment with an addictions psychiatrist in a week, trying to gather real world smokeless tobacco experience. Anything would be helpful. Thank you.

@stoneman469 -I am on 30mg of Lexapro because of the anxiety of quitting and nicotine withdrawal, more like borderline psychosis(in my case anyway). There is an article on here about what this stuff can do to you. Nicotine causes disruptions in your serotonin levels by way of nicotine receptors. Nicotine also can interfere with insulin resistance. Get help if you need it there is no shame in it, I did. It gets a lot better with time.

@stoneman469
After the first 72 hours into the quit when all the nicotine has left your body, the brain games begin.  Your brain has to undo years of working while under the influence of nicotine.  This can cause anxiety, malaise, headaches, constipation, pain, the list goes on.  What specific issues are you having?  I'm going to PM you my number.

Hi,
Looking for clarification on what quitting can do to our mental health. I’m seeking help, but it’d be extremely helpful to chat with someone who has experience with a possible different mental state, after quitting. I hope that makes sense. Thanks!

@GS9502 did @Athan give you a "special" pic to commemorate the occasion?  He left a Big Ole' pic in the spare bedroom after he visited Skol.  Problem is the wife found it not I.  Now I have Pic envy.
Oh shoot - I left that for Worktowin. Tell the Mrs. that it's photoshopped - I'm really bald.
Nah, @Skolvikings, but we were in a public place. @Athan  did mention something about having to leave a "package" in the restroom, though...
