I want to get this seen by some people.  Could be a great event to plan toward.

in missoula montana.
I'll be there sir... can't wait.
This looks like a fantastic event. Too bad it isn't in the United States somewhere instead of this Montana place. Don't forget to get your Passport ready Chewie!

some general musings: I am really starting to think i might be getting to comfortable with this quit thing. On at least three occasions today I had the thought "I Got This!" I have been here before and I know better than anyone else that this is a dangerous spot to be in. Because I know that I do not have this. It has me and will always have me. Thus I must stay diligent in guarding my quit. I had a professional counselor tell me one time that addictions are very sneaky. They will lay low and when you least expect it they will slip up behind you and knock you in the back of the head. I've had this happen to me with chew and I've seen it happen to close relatives with nicotine and other drugs of choice. Your support in maintaining my quit is appreciated. Thanks for listening to my random rambling.

This site is a great place to come and vent or just rattle on about anything. I have found that just writing stuff and posting it to the site is a big help in fighting the addiction. Thanks for being good listeners.
The quit is strong with this one.

The same sage advice is offered here for free. Read. Read. Read.

However, YOU are in control. YOU control your addiction...it does NOT control you any longer. Stay in control. Only you can fuck yourself. We will not allow that to happen.

Quit on ML...quit on.

Another question from Tennessee.  I love to brew my own beer.  At any one time I may have 2 or 3 five gallon brews going at a time.    But beer is a powerful trigger for me to want to dip.  So I'm wondering what the advice of you veterans would be about drinking.  How long should I keep my quit going before I give it a try?  I'm scared to even think about it right now just being 12 days out.
My opinion is that it is different for everybody... but you should wait several weeks, at least. You can never go wrong by making your quit priority #1 and doing everything you can to protect it.
Rule of thumb, that varies for everyone:

Stay off all booze for 50 days. Don't get loaded until at least HOF, possibly longer.
Since you can't drink it send some up my way!

Mike,

Where you from in TN? I just booked a business trip to TN for next week Mon-Wed...

Anyone else from TN? I am going to be in the Smyrna, TN area for a couple nights if anyone wants to grab dinner or a beer.
