I have been Quit for several years and I still wake up every morning and quit one day at a time.  I figure if it worked yesterday, it will work today.  Never ever get complacent in your quit!

Amen JDub....I was amazed on Saturday about the lack of publicity on TV  radio about "the day that will live in infamy".  The American WWII generation was, in my humble opinion, the greatest generation our country has ever seen.  My grandfather was an infantryman and, despite my military service, never wanted to discuss his experiences in the war....something I regret to this day.
I hear the Greatest Generation all the time. While they were Great, I think the first generation of Americans were just a tad bit greater.

Just sayin.
This country has had many great individuals, groups and generations, I love learning and reading about them. I have generations within my own heritage that I consider great and have those that participated in some of the great moments in history. As population increases and we become more diversified and dependent having generations as a whole be remembered for greatness becomes less likely. We may not see another generation like those mentioned but we can be individuals that stand for those beliefs we have. There is no reason that each of us can't make a memory within our own family to be a memorable individual that can be remembered for many generations. May I make a lasting impression, I pray!

In my effort to quit, I have cut down from 3 - 4 cans a day to 1. I've been feeling kind of crummy: light headed, nauseas.. pretty much just like if I had the flu. Is this normal or just coincidental?
Your not quit; that's the problem. If you have any desire whatsoever to quit, click on the Welcome Center link near the top left and start reading. This is a no nicotine site. We quit cold turkey.
Fair enough. Did some reading, now my chew us joining the ranks of my digested dinner in my septic tank. I'm on board
Bison, I made the same decision you did one month ago. Best decision I have made in a long, long, time (since deciding to propose to my wife of 22 years). You will feel like shit for several days, then it gets better. Here are the keys for me, and likely for you too:
1. You are an addict. You cannot have one dip, smoke, puff, whatever.
2. You can do today. So do today, then wake up and do today again.

Welcome to your new life. Have you posted roll yet?

Just wanted to say, and have everyone remember, that today is Dec 7, the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Gents, lets all take a moment today, whether you're like Pinched, Bulldog, Neonpanther, Mogul, or myself being active/former military or just been a civilian all your life, remember the lives lost there and what happened as a result. Our involvement In WW2, which my grandfathers proudly fought in, and captured a few flags that i still cherish today.

Remember that they did not relent in the time of war against evil, the pressed on, knowing that they had each other to count on, and thats all that mattered really. keeping one another alive and safe. Make that your purpose here, keeping one another quit as much as you have the power to. Let us not relent in our battle against nicotine, because all of us military gents know, what a waste it would be to die to nicotine...instead of a real war that you could be proud of and be honored.

Don't forget our heroes today. Thank you
