Found this site randomly. 31 years old, been chewing since i was about 18 pretty steady. Do a can a day. Finally at the point where ive had enough of it and i am ready to give it up. Just had baby #1 and I have to do it for her.
First day without a dip is today, anyone have any hints or tips to keep my mind off it feel free to let me know!

I'm new, and tomorrow will mark my 1st week of being dip free. Quick question -- I've had upper jaw pain ever since I quit. Is this normal?
Short answer... yes, it's normal.

Longer answer... like everyone else, I'm not a doc. But when I quit my jaw felt like it was going to crawl off my damn face. It was either tingling or hurting pretty much 24/7. In the end, it didn't fall off, crawl away or turn into cancer.

Hang in there my man.

I am no doctor nor have I played one on TV, but I had some pain and sores in my mouth for a couple of weeks. Like everyone says on here you can wait a couple of weeks then go to doctor. Or can go now for peace of mind.

Here is a question for everyone. How does one ask for help?

A guy is having a hard time in general. Things around him seem to be going to shit. He has been quit for 5 to 6 weeks. He is in the fog and raging. He is at the point where he is fed up and thinking about caving. He did not post for the day because he is not sure he will be able to keep his word. So he decides he needs help and calls one of his numbers.

Then what?

He says hey whats up I am a filthy slimy worm and thinking about caving?

No instead he says whats up and turns the conversation away from himself. Until finally the guy on the other end says why have you not posted and he says I will gotta go.
backwards thinking bro.....you don't quit so you can post roll.....

you post roll so you can quit.

Post Roll first thing each morning....always
Realize you are giving your word.....always
Realize your honor and integrity is being wagered.....always
Realize someone else is depending on you keeping your word.....always
Realize your addiction will try to get you back.....always
Realize every battle, no matter how small will make you stronger.....always

Realize a dip is not ever going to be worth sacrificing all the above......ever.

Best way to fight the funks is to post roll and keep your word.....and involve yourself in the site and someone else's quit.......

Besides, you've been sittin on my porch.....it would be rude to break your word to ole mule.
You had me at "always".

Great post Mule.

To all (day 1 or day 1,000): Heed these words.
Everyday quit and posting +1 is a small battle won in the huge war against nic. follow the examples set here by some of the great vets like Mule  QT and you will make. How do I know this? Because that's exactley what I did. If you need a number to put in your emergency book PM me and its yours.

Good Morning KTC

We have a Canadian Quitter who caved. He says he has no Canadian contacts.

I'm putting out an APB on all our Canadian brothers to reach out and make contact with him.

browniemanab is his site name

Thanks Brothers and Sisters
Brian
I'm Canadian. And over a year quit, how can I help?
Not to turn down help, but you're over a year quit, been registered at KTC since April 2010, but have only 14 posts? WTF?
