* A Treatise of Quittery Most Divine
« on: May 17, 2012, 05:22:00 PM »
Yeah sorry, this will be no font of knowledge, no tome of arcane quittery and badassery. I love to write and practice the art of smartassedness, but this is not the place. What I have learned on my quit journey can be distilled into the following snippet of wisdom:

Don't use nicotine.
Promise your group you will not use by posting roll.
Keep your word.
Rinse / Repeat.

That is it, the method to my 100 Days of no nicotine.

Thank you members of May 12 who allowed me to vent, provided encouragement, pissed me off, and especially made me laugh. I owe my quit to 1% determination, and the rest to a hell of a lot of people who walked with me and cleared the path before me. Thank you all.

Lurkers, this shit works if you can simply keep your word and want to be quit. You owe it to yourself and your family to give it a honest effort.
