Comma Club Speech
« on: October 18, 2018, 08:52:07 AM »
When I started my romance with nicotine in 1991, I would have never believed it would turn into an almost 25-year active addiction. When I started my quit in January 2016, I would have never believed I would make it 1,000 days quit.

But here I am.

My teeth have lightened in color, but now I have a gold cap on the tooth where my dip used to sit. I have quit nicotine, but that reminder will be with me forever.

I can’t change the past, but I have promised to be quit for the day.

I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t thought about leaving KTC. Would I remain quit if I left? Probably. But not certainly. So why mess with it? Posting roll in the morning takes 35 seconds. The cost is minimal; the reward is priceless. I call that cheap insurance.
