I am an addict. I am addicted to the drug nicotine.

It's taken me too long to come to terms with these two facts. For so long, me not dipping was just my empty promise to myself against my lack of self control. I would tell myself, IÂ’ll quit one day, or IÂ’ll quit when I get a health scare. BS dude, quit kidding (and killing) yourself. That is poison in that can, but it's also something far worse. ItÂ’s your master and you are the slave. That can owns you and you donÂ’t even know it.

The good news is if you look close enough and read deep enough you will find that there is a way out. Your daily promise, one day at a time. I am thankful and really blessed that I found this site and all the top notch quitters in this network. I think there are two keys to success. 1. Have a reason, quit for yourself and make your quit about you. 2. Learn about you, figure out the best way to quit, garage karate or reading Good Housekeeping or 2x4 shampoos, or wine mixersÂ….seriously find your own way with the help of this powerful resource.

I want to personally thank Josh for reaching out the second I joined this site, I know I don't say much, but that means a lot. Thanks to Doc and Lumber, Av8rmarc, Skidwilly, Samrs, and Syndrome for the support. Thanks to all the FCWM for allowing me to run the SSOA. When I would want to dip I would get on there and make sure every roll post was tracked and right, you donÂ’t know how much this helped me. I probably owe some of you a beer for pushing table roll to make my job easier, but IÂ’m not sorry.

At the end of the day, there are two facts that I confide in, but also understand the two facts at the beginning are still true and unchanged.

I quit with you today. I am better for it.
