I completely agree.
If I get a clean bill of health I will approach it was a new lease on life and continue my quit each day.

I support you man, but you have to ask yourself what you're going to do when you receive a clean bill of health. My family members dip my friends dip and my co-workers dip and I can't count the number of times I've seen a guy toss his can because somebody thought they had cancer. Guess what? They are all still dipping. Your quit needs to be more than just a cancer scare.

Thanks for the messages everyone.
I have taken some lumps in both HOFs and they are all valid.
I posted this earlier:
I quit 7/31/2014 after my jaw starting hurting. Every tingle or ache I think is cancer. I Google cancer symptoms daily.
I laid awake in bed last night no sleeping dreaming about cancer and my family. I scheduled an exam with my dentist on Wednesday to get checked out.
I don't want to die, and abandon my boys and wife. It would have been easier to not begin posting roll again but I am here. I am serious about quitting, I will prove myself and change my quit date till today. Please give me a second chance and your support.

Idaho I looked at your posting history and even when you were quit you weren't posting roll every day, and you did nothing to help anyone else along the way. Answer the three questions listed above, take your lumps from the real quitters, then come back to this site but with both feet. Post roll everyday and be an influence on everybody else. Being here half assed is such a huge warning sign for a potential cave.

Hello everyone,
Thanks for starting a forum to support quitting chewing.

I am 32years old and I have been chewing off and on (more one than off) for 15 years.

I played college athletics, I have two degrees and a CPA license but those were all easy compared to quiting chewing.

I have a great wife and family, my wife knows I used to chew, I have told her I quit but I have been still chewing, at work, in the car etc.

I am ready to quit, I am scared that I am too late but I need to try for my boys.

I haven't chewed since Sunday 9/22/13, gum and mints help a lot. But I usually can quit for a while before convincing myself just one more chew or can. But no more.

Thanks for your positive thoughts, each day is the first day of the rest of your life.

Charles AKA Idaho Spuds
This is my second intro.
I quit until March of 2014, then I completely caved.
I am a coward and liar. The thought of dying due to cancer and leaving my boys breaks my heart.
This is it, the final quit! But actions speak louder than works.
Thanks for your support
Charles
Fellow CPA, this is harder then the exam, I completely agree. With that said, what good are degrees and initials after our names when we are RIP because we can't keep a toxic plant out of our mouths?

i believe you have the "3 questions" to answer here, in your old quit group, and your new quit group, November.

1. What happened?

2. Why did it happen?

3. What will you do differently in the future to not cave?
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Welcome Charles, like you I've been scared  am scared I left it too late. But no time like the present to dig right in  get this done. You're probably not too late, but if you have concerns engage your doctor  dentist. I've seen the both of them more often in the last month than I have in the last decade. So far checking out fine despite being 38  having nearly 2 decades of use behind me. Anxiety is somewhat normal too ( it hit me bad) so you might notice more worry than is actually justified. I sure did and am.

Thanks for the messages and support.
I just posted my first roll call, so I am getting the hang of the community.
