Well, I am very glad to report, only one cavity. Gums were in good health, teeth fine and no signs of cancer today. Stay quit all.
Nice bro!!!! That's awesome!!!! Has to be some weight off your chest. Did you spike on nictrice?

Seriously though, piggy backing what Waste said. Take this good news and use it as momentum to keep your quit going. You dodged a bullet, that doesn't mean you need to go back to playing Russian roullete.

I know you wont though. You are smarter than that.

Great work bro. Keep it up!!!

G.A. just do like they told you: relax, be honest, and get as much nitros as you can get! Way to be brave. I'd be shocked if they aren't super supportive and helpful. Most important thing right now is you are quit, and want to be healthy from here on out. Proud of you. Quit with you all day.

Do you suggest getting the oral cancer screening? The VELscope i beleive they call it? My damn mouth is 12 days into the quit, i dont want them to wrongly think they see something cancerous when in fact my fucking whole mouth is healing from the poison. The anxiety i am having here is like day 2 of my quit. F that.
Relax, if you tell them exactly what you have done, newly quit, 12 days, and so on they will know exactly what to do. This is just like quitting, one day at a time. You will be fine, and I am sure I will see you rejoicing here tomorrow.

Take a deep breath and just tell the guy..the secretary probably knows a dipper as soon as you walk through the door so you are not going to shock these people.  It will be what it will be.  there is just today.  Breath

The truth is the best bet.

I will warn you: many guys struggle after a dentist appointment because of good news. We all go back the first time expecting the worst. Some of us get bad news. Many dodge a bullet...momentarily.

Be careful.
GA,, i'm pretty sure your not going to be the first x dipper that is sitting in front of your dentist. Just a guess, could be wrong. Maybe the dentist your seeing just got out of dental school, yea maybe but doubtful.

They are very supportive buddy. They will be honest but supportive. It' going to be fine. I agree with diesel,, breathe.....

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

ok, so i manned up and set a dentist appoint tomorrow. Been a decade I bet. Nervous as a tick. Any comments, recomendations for me? I never like going to dentist before snuff, and while dipping, forget it. Put it off and off. What do you say when you get in the chair? What do they say about the white cheeks/gums from dipping? Man this is nerve racking.
BE HONEST AS FUCK.

Tell them you dipped X number of years and are now quit and you want to make sure you didn't do any permanent damage and that you want to get back on the path of good oral hygiene.

I GUARANTEE, they will appreciate the honesty and be supper supportive.

Also...hit the laugh gas. Tell them TWO times you don't think its on. You will float.

Give us a report tomorrow. I bet it won't be so bad.

Very good step. There will be no judgment, trust me. I've worked in the dental industry for six years and have never heard a hygienist who was surprised or judgmental. They want to help. They want you to be healthy. And dentists are usually thrilled to have someone come in who needs some work. Don't be self loathing, they have seen worse! The best patients are those who have a sense if humor and who are committed to getting healthier. Do those things and you'll be an office favorite. :)
