Hey, my name is Paul (also known as ihatecope here on KTC) and I’m addicted to nicotine. Believe it or not, but just over 100 days ago I thought that my personality was too strong to be able to be addicted to anything especially nicotine. Wow, just now writing that “personality was too strong” bullshit that I believed is really embarrassing. It just goes to show how blind and turned around my addiction had me. I started chewing tobacco in high school and I was able to stop a few times (once for a few years) which reinforced my horrible belief that I was immune to addiction. It was KTC that helped me realize why I kept coming back to tobacco. It was because I was addicted to nicotine and an addict will do, say, and believe anything to continue to use.

If you use nicotine in any form you are also addicted. As a user, no matter what you believe you are not free. Nicotine will take time, money, and health from you and will not only hurt you but also the people who you love.

Quitting tobacco has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Here at KTC we say you only quit once, well that happened to me on Saturday, October 26, 2013, that was the day I set my permanent quit foundation stone. (NAFAR) Never Again For Any Reason
