Hello, my name is Kyle and I'm 31 years old from South Texas and have been dipping since I was 16. I am currently 2 years sober from alcohol and want to finally give up my dependence on tobacco as well. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
@Kweinheimer Hey Im John....I am 50 years old from southeast Texas and I had been dipping since i was 17.  21 days ago I quit dipping after 33 years.  We are in the Jan 20 quit group together.  My key points to getting to 21 days....ONE DAY AT A TIME...Wupp (wake up piss post), reach out to vets...group members and share your phone number.  We hold each other accountable for our promises to not do nicotine.  Currently the only thing I smoke is large cuts of meat and the only thing I chew is seeds and fake snuff.  You can do this...if you need me pm me your digits.

@Kweinheimer,

Welcome to KTC brother. I’m in your January 2020 group. Currently I’m on day 8. I’m also your neighbor (south Louisiana). @chris2alaska is right. We are all in this together. I haven’t been here long, but Chris and some of the other guys aggressiveness is what got me going. I’ve beat “the suck” and it’s now only a matter of making a daily decision to remain quit. Take it ODAAT, one day at a time. Post roll EDD, every damn day, and try to help others. There’s plenty of reading material on the forums as well as the main site. Quitting is taken seriously here. You want help, you got it.

Along with others, I’ve posted a daily journal of how my days have gone in the introduction section. I recommend you do the same. It allows others to obtain a perspective as well as let you go back in time to see your progress. I look forward to remaining quit with you!!

Hi Kyle,

Welcome to KTC.  Quitting nicotine is one of the best choices you could make in life.  Are you currently still using?  If so, go flush that crap down the toilet, ALL of it, even the the can you got stashed in the kitchen cupboard.  Once you have done that and don't have any more in your mouth, head on over to the January 2020 Pre-HOF Quit Group and learn how to post your promise to remain nicotine free for today.

The process is simple:

1. Wake Up
2. Piss
3. Post your promise to be nicotine free for the next 24 hours
4. Keep your word
5. Repeat Daily

The process may be simple, but the actual quittin part is not.  It will be hard.  It will suck until one day, it doesn't suck so much.  Then it will continue to get better each day.  I know because my days are no longer filled with wanting to shove a cat turd in my lip.  I barely ever think about it anymore, sometimes I do, but not a whole lot anymore.

You can do this if you drink all the kool-aid we are selling here and dive right in.

That is my advice to you, oh and drink a shit ton of water.

I am 642 days nicotine free doing exactly what I just laid out to you.  Can you quit for One day at a time?  I'll bet you can, anyone can.

Chris

P.S.  If you are quit today, it is Your Day 1, we don't have a Day 0.
If you want my digits, just ask and they will be yours, but I expect yours in return.
