Title: Day 14
Post by: jman6 on January 14, 2020, 05:33:06 PM
Thought I would get a support system going as I wrap up day 15 of no nicotine. I want to quit for me, to prove that I can do it. I’ve been chewing for the past 4 years and the last 8 months have been going through a can a day.

It’s really hard not going to lie. I’m super irritable, foggy, and overall not a positive person. Hopefully this will pass soon.

Appreciate all of you positive influences!

Hi jman,

Super bad ass going 2 weeks on your own.  Head on over to the April 2020 Pre-HOF Quit Group (https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=16165.1750) and learn how to post your promise to be nicotine free for today.  We quit one day at a time here (ODAAT).  The process is simple:

1. Wake Up
2. Piss
3. Post your promise
4. Keep your word for the next 24 hours
5. Repeat Daily

Simple but hard at the same time.  In the April group you will find other quitters going through the exact same things as you are right now.  Start getting to know those quitters by exchanging phone numbers and building the bonds of brotherhood and accountability.  It is a good idea to have a few vets phone numbers at your disposal as well.  Mine are available for the asking.

Congratulations on the best decision ever.  Proud t quit with you today,

Chris
