Morning Quitters !!
Good morning! did me some calculating this morning. I started chewing when I was 18 and am now near 52 so that makes it close to 34 years or better yet, I was hooked to the nic bitch for 12, 376 days! 'bang head'

I got me to thinking -- would I live long enough to go that long without .. that would have to make me about 104 when I go to the great beyond.

Then it dawned on me - hey i spent the first 18 years of my life NOT chewing :P so that gives me a start of 6,552 against that 12, 376 days which now leaves me only 5,824 days (or 16 years) to remain free of that bitch to equal my days clean vs my days hooked. Hell I'll only be 68 at that time and hopefully will be leading my grandkids on some wild adventures 'Remshot' (if my kids ever get busy!)

So now 5,824 minus the 9 days I have been clean leaves me only 5815 to go! Whoo-hoo!

I know this is somewhat fuzzy math and it is looking at the big picture rather than 1 day at a time....but it is a long range goal for me! I am just getting there one day at a time! Hope you all have a great day!

Hi everyone. I'm on day 2.  The first day was hard. Especially having to deal with an argumentive fiancee. We fussed since she got home until after midnight. Some of you were on yesterday when it started. Now she called off the wedding and shit. But not sure if she is serious or not. And wants me to move out.

But you know what? I'm not gonna be pressured back into my habit.I came close to going to the store last night. But I brushed it off.
MS, hang in there! You have to remember quitting dip is going to make you especially irritable right now. I live with my fiancee and she too has experienced the wrath of my bad attitude the last few days. Brush it off, know that you are not thinking clearly (sounds like neither is she!).

QuittinTime was quick to tell me yesterday to not rage on her, come to these boards and post a rant about what an unbeleivable bitch she is, etc. - whatever you want to write about. Spill it, just not on her!

Also, know that you are making a great choice to quit dip - make your body healthy and a strong, healthy relationship will follow.
Funny, I don't remember telling you this yesterday.........but it does sound like something I might say. You sure it was me, bro?

Anyway, hang in there and whoever told you that, it's good advice. Bring all the rage and anger here........we'll hash it out with you.

Mine isn't that bad, I just have a nagging wife who has made me want to gouge my eyes out with a spoon. If you can make it through that on day 1 and not cave you've got more resolve than I think I would. Better luck today bro.
I appreciate the confidence RoyJester.

Well I'm back again. Sorry to all the members I have hurt in the past. As you all know, we are addicts and part of addiction is hiding, lying, sneaking around, and doing things that hurt others and ourselves. I cannot change my past or give excusses for my cave. I can only look at today and make the decission to not use tobacco for the day. I continue to use my past as a learning experience and try to change and be a better person. I am hopeful of a better year in 2009 as 2008 had ups and lots of downs for me. I believe I am stronger and expect struggles along the way to my recovery. I hope to gain some new friends and re connect with old quitters as well. Please accept me back and hold me accountable!
Good to see ya get back in here. I am here should you need it. But I don't read minds, so you have to ASK ! ;)
Thanks ODT!

Question from a newbie.
When I was first surfing this site and trying to get registered I ran across a page that on the bottom had a spot to record quit date, money saved etc. Well I have been all over the boards trying to find it again so I can record there but I ain't guessing the right page! Can anyone direct me to which page that was? Thanks.
