Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I've slowly been taking myself off Camel Snus over the past week. I got a cold and figured it was the perfect opportunity to start slowly getting myself away from using. I think I'm one of the very few women on this website. I started using Snus in law school to get an extra pep when I studied. I quite for over a year after I got pregnant. Then I found myself starting back up once I started working. Now I work from home and I almost having one in my mouth all the time. My husband is the only one that knows that I use it. I know it's time to stop because I find myself worried every time I get a sore throat or cut up gums.

I hope it's okay that I ask this question here. I think most of my problem is I'm bored and want that extra pep. I'm thinking something like Teeza or Grinds would help me quit. Has anyone tried this? Are there any replacements that give the same cool burning sensations (that also don't require spitting). I am really ready to quit. I have cut my usage down by over half the past week so I'm thinking it's time to completely stop. My husband chews Grizzly Straight. He's hoping to quit so if you have any suggestions for alternatives for him, I'd take that as well. We want to quit together.
Welcome Mrs. DIY. I can understand about the being bored thing, because I'd say about half the time, I'd put a dip in because I was bored or even slightly bored. It helped the time pass by. I'm not sure, but you could try the Teeza. For the cooling sensation, you could even use some of the gums out there, and just stick that in your gums.
I can't find fake dip around here, but I've been using Jack Link's Jerky Chew whenever I wanted the feeling of having a dip in. Works pretty good for me.
The biggest thing is making a QUALITY decision. A quality decision is one that there is no turning back, and no retreat from. Once you do that, it gets better.
I'd say, both of you get on here, READ EVERYTHING, post roll, and quit together. There is no plan B.
MrsDIY -

If you're looking for an alternative where you don't need to spit, Teaza is a good one. I'd also point you to Mint Snuff pouches. In theory you wouldnt' need to spit Grind either, but in my experience they produce a TON of saliv and at least for me personally I'd want to spit with that one.

As for your husband... straight flavors are tough to find a good alternative for. I was a Kodiak Wintergreen guy primarly so take this for what it's worth, but I'd suggest either Smokey Mountain Classic or Hooch Classic, Whiskey or Spitfire.

Is it Google or is it the forum. I can no longer cut and paste therefore I can no longer post roll with my phone. I noticed Google made some changes and I don't like those either
working fine for me, must be something with the phone.
What sort of phone? I know there have been issues with cut/paste on the iPhone after upgrading to the new version of the operating system. No changes have been made to the forums.
Iphone 5C...fixin to be Iphone 5 Skeet.
The problem was related to Google. I offloaded Google, picked up Yahoo, and now I'm back to posting roll early with my IPhone. If anyone else is having the same issue, please let them know.

Hi guys. I just started my quit. I'm on Day 14 and have found Jake's Mint Chew to be my saving grace a few times. Mymouth is in immense burning pain that I suppose is from the PH imbalance.

Is it too late to join the March 2015 quit group?
Congrats on the 14 days. Go to PreHOF March 15 roll calll and introduce yourself to your quit brothers and post roll!
Fourteen days solo is impressive.

It should get progressively better from where you are. But remain vigilant.

March is shaping up to be a great group.

Go visit, post roll, meet some folks.

Keep grinding on the quit.
