Boy, looking at the success of posting roll right the first time, I'd say engineers must be pretty smart fellers...

welcome...ask for help when you need it...get numbers, as Syndrome suggested. A very smart choice you have made dusteroo...name might be a bit....well...anyway, good choice to quit.

Sack up, go look your wife in the eye and tell her you are not trying to quit anymore....

YOU ARE QUIT!!

Seriously- get words like hope, try, wish out of your vocabulary- Here we DO. There is no luck involved with a quit- It's you deciding that you are done- that you will not use nicotine for TODAY!

Remember, NEVER take it out on her or family. Come in here...RAGE in here. this is your outlet. This is your release valve. And if you want to be pissed off at anybody, always start by remembering that there wasn't anyone elses fingers digging down in that can and then shoving it in your lip but you.

Get numbers for texting and calling a brother when you are feeling the need to rant and rave...

Give the wife a hug.

Take your rage out on us. We get it. Tell her this is it; the last withdrawal. You can count on me for help. Just ask. Glad you are here. You can do this. You want proof? Look here: index.php?showtopic=5437 (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showtopic=5437)

What they said. Bring the rage here. We've raged and been raged on. Keeps the.place interesting.

Lots of exercise and water helped me a lot. Great choice you made dusteroo.

Good job on your decision. Try to get an herbal supplement. That might help with the cravings and oral fixation and it's safe. We're here for you. Let me know if I can help in anyway. Email me, message me but don't give in.

This is my second time around. I caved on Nov. 25th, 2012 . I am a retired locomotive engineer and a 25 year user. I flushed it down the toilet this morning around 900 am. I won't go into the reasons I caved, personal problems etc., but I will say this board was instrumental in my success the last time.I QUIT ! I QUIT !
Thanks

Nope. That ain't going to fly (or ride a track or something).

(1) What happened?
(2) Why did it happen?
(3) What are you doing differently this time?

It looks like your wife was not happy about your quit last time. What about now?

^^^^ what he said.... Plus I have one more question, you caved in November, why wait almost five months? When you caved in November, did you not go whoa, what am I doing? No instead you went on chewing for 5 months. 'Crazy'

After you get to answering the big 3 questions, try this one: What success "the last time"? Maybe I missed it, but I don't see any success. You mean the break from nic you took for about around 300 days out of the last 9000 (NINE THOUSAND) days. Is that the "success"?

Duster - saw you in chat and welcome. You will see alot to get you to answer those 3 questions that Wastepanel has stated. This is the time for you to look inside yourself, be honest and learn from what happened in your life before and what you can do for yourself to make the quit this time stick.

So I see you stated 'personal reasons' but in order to really be as successful as you can, it is best to write out here so you can get it off your chest and not hide.

This is for your benefit. And from what you say, can also help others.
