quit week 2 or 3 feeling free for the most part
To get more you'll need to give more.
What's the story bro?
-
so from my understanding you have been not ingested any nicotine in your system for 2-3 weeks? While this site isn't necessarily a place where fine poets and novelists come, we do normally get a little more than that.
So when exactly did you quit...like what day exactly?
What is the reason you quit? very important.
How long have you been dippin/smokin?
Not trying to bust your balls but you gotta do a little better then that.
-
Do you need a tutorial of KTC and/or have you read the welcome center?
Don't be afraid to join in the madhouse. We quit like mother fuckers here.
-
Sarge - glad to see you posted. Guys - we chatted him up on the live chat. He's just returning from Afganistan after being injured there. He'll post more over the next few days...he's in the recovery room in Ft Benning's medical hospital.

Sgt. welcome home brother! You will notice that there are several veterans here in the KTC hallways. Sad to see so many of us that lived that life only to gamble it all on a useless addictive ass drug called tobacco.
Learn how to post roll and do it daily, you too will start to notice some eerie similarities to the brotherhood you will see here at KTC.
PM me if you ever need another ear to bend.

Glad to have you here. This place is chock full of folks who will support you every day and every step of your quit. Proud to be quitting with you and welcome home.

Welcome back and welcome to KTC - this place rocks if you invest in it. Even after 3 weeks there are going to be some rough spots in the road with your quit . stick around!
-
SGT Oheir.......Glad you are home. I tried quitting when I got home from a deployment in 2010......lasted a week and was right back at it when I went back to the base with the "boys". The boys here on KTC helped me figure this whole thing out. Gotta be accountable to your quit brothers and stay here!!!!

I have been following your quit and also what you are sharing about your personal challenges. Quite honestly, I really do not know what to say on that other than thank you for your sacrifice and service which I find humbling. Regarding your quit, day 40 is an awesome place to be. Through the first 30 which is what I found the most challenging. Proud to be quit with you, keep focusing on it ODAAT!

Hey Big Sarge,
First of all, thanks for you service... second, awesome job on Day 40... third, and I'm sure you're getting support, but don't overlook the psychological wounds that need healing too. Not only is there the grind of combat but now the anguish of the wounds incurred. You are a member of a small group of warriors who have given more of themselves than almost every other American to defend our way of life and for that you get the added bonus of facing that burden daily for the rest of your life. But it can be faced with dignity. You will face depression, doubt, self loathing, and disgust if you haven't already. You will also experience moments of intense pride and unwaivering loyalty to your nation and your fellow wounded warriors. You will battle emotions of anger and rage against "those who don't get what you've been through", all of this will now be coupled with similar feelings resulting from being quit from tobacco.
My advice to you, from one combat vet (no purple heart though) to another combat vet (with a purple heart) is to not be scared to seek help when you need it.
May god bless you with a speedy and complete recovery.

SGT, I think a couple months ago your son was waiting to turn 18 so he could actively join the site. Is he on with us? If not and he's made it to 18, please bring him by to visit.
