Title: Quit for ever this time
Post by: ziesmer on January 25, 2012, 07:45:00 PM
My name is Rick and I am currently on day 2 and realized I never introduced myself. I am 42 years old and have been chewing about 30 years. Always Copenhagen snuff. I once stopped for over a year and started again. I am retired from the USAF after 20 years. I chewed everyday except for basic training and the year I stopped. I have been trying to find a reason to quit for the last couple of months. I am actually sick of chewing. Well, I found this website and I now have a reason to quit! My new brothers! It feels a lot like the military.

I pledge.....I QUIT!

Quit for yourself, embrace the suck, post roll, repeat. One day at a time. I am 10 days in and it gets better. Hang on we are here if you need us. PM your number if you need anything...

Glad you're here Rick. This shit works. Embrace the suck, post roll and keep your word. I've been nic free for 12 days. I can't freaking believe it. Something about not quitting alone is very powerful.

Rick, I quit with you today.

WTF Rick!! I just don't get it,
When was the last time you posted roll?
Why did you cave??
What is going to be different now??
How can we trust you?
What are you going to do to help August 12??

I'm really hesitant to reach out to you. After I trial period, maybe.
Please don't shit on these guys in August there are some strong quitters there.

Not looking to beat.

Looking for plan.

As a retread myself, I can answer those three questions at anytime regarding my past mistakes

1. What happened?

I joined this site to quit dipping and I have not dipped for 121 days now. To quit dipping was my goal and I have accomplished that. However, I went to Kuwait, bought some cuban cigars and smoked a couple.

2. Why did it happen?

I made a conscience decision to buy the cigars and smoke them. I smoked one in Kuwait in March and one the other day. I came back to the site as I could tell I was thinking about dipping and I knew that if I kept posting roll I wouldn't use anything.

3. What are you going to do differently this time?

Stay dip free which was my original goal and post roll everyday

Then why do you think you can change her dress without ramifications?

Physically, using nicotine resets all those receptors in your brain that would cope with life with a nicotine rush. Quitting (and the associated fog) is training your body to work without nicotine. Once those paths are laid, reintroducing the drug will open those paths again and the nic bitch will rape you until you love her.

If you are an addict, why do you think you can use the drug at your leisure?

No moral victories are won in a cave.

Then I really, really think you need to re-answer those 3 questions.

You keep saying "dip", yet you admit your cave was cigars (and not dip). You are not promising not to(or shutting the door on using) nicotine. You are trying to declare victory over dipping without seeing the root cause of why you dip in the first place or actually admit your failure.

Let me tell you something about quitting that you may (or may not) know: Quitting does not get easier. You get stronger.

You. get. stronger.

Everyday that you declare yourself quit works out your quit muscle. Pretty soon, all those workouts have built strong muscles on you and it actually hurts not to work out.

Bullshit like this will weigh you down and lead you back to her tit before you even know it.

Now, if you want to get serious about quitting, do it. Don't fucking half ass it. Don't tell me you're not half assing it when we all know you are.

You can be strong as fuck if you want to be, but you have to want it. Or you can be that loafer that shows up to the gym, chats up the gheys, talks on his cell, and showers without breaking a sweat.

Call me when you take this seriously.

Sent him a PM asking bacically the same things, and was ignored.

The Force is weak with this one.

So, unless I missed something, I still have no idea what Z's answers to WP's question #2 and #3. The answer to #3 (stay dip free . ..) is an insult at worst, an obvious evasion at best.
