Title: Newbie with ?s
Post by: d-dub66 on December 30, 2015, 02:33:00 PM
So, im on day 5. Been a 1 1/2 can per day dipper for 30 years. i slowly worked my way off skoal straight onto smokey mountain snuff. Haven't had any nicotine since Christmas morning. Since Christmas night ive been having trouble sleeping. everytime i lay down to go to sleep, just as i start to drift off im startled back awake. Is this normal and if so how long does this symptom last

Welcome ddub, find the welcome center. Learn how to post. Look for April 16 group, post roll. Anxiety, insomnia, rage go hand in hand with withdrawals from dipping. Post roll and you want have to do this alone. Once you've posted there will be all kinds of advice! Next moves yours! I quit with you today!

You've dipped for 30 years. Just lost your so called best friend. Yep, that's part of it, it will go away in time. Get to that quit group, get numbers and communicate. That's going to be your lifeline. How you will achieve victory. We will help just ask. My sleep routine was screwed for a while, I can't lie. It will get better that I can promise.

^^^^ This guy knows what he is talking about.

Is your discomfort worth fingering a can again? I don't think so. These issues will pass and you will be free. Post roll every day - early. Read your quit group's thread and help others when they need help. If you need help ask for it. Do whatever you can to keep that shit out of your mouth for the day.

Your body is rewiring itself. It's been so used to nicotine that it has to learn to function without it. Stay strong. Post roll early every day and surf the site and forums. I'm a little over 2 weeks quit and I'm feeling a LOT better. Just know, it's gonna suck ass before it gets better.
Just remember, A Problem + Nicotine = 2 Problems.

I quit with you today.

I've been quit for 6 months. First couple of weeks were tough physically. It gets a lot better. Every day gets better. Your mood will actually be better than when you were using nicotine eventually.
