I'm a 2 time quitter after 25yrs. First time quit was around 2007. Quit cold turkey with ease and stayed quit for exactly a year. Celebrated something great in life and bought a tin. The rest is history and I'm now day 6 of quit 2. This time I have all the symtoms discussed to some degree. 1st time had no side affects; Just stopped with ease. Anyway, this time my to tongue is all jacked like its numb or something. Very weird, even affects my speech sometimes. Hoping that will go away soon. Really is the only side that is hard to handle for me. Anyone else have that same feeling in your tongue? I was a can to two per day and sometimes more.

There will be plenty of odd things happen with your tongue mouth etc. Using tobacco was something you did habitually for a very long time and the change will cause some of those side effects. I personally didn't have any issues with my tongue being numb but I have seen many a quitter post about that exact thing so it seems to be relatively common. Good luck

Your mouth and body will be breaking. You will notice all kids of changes. If it stresses you to much, go get it checked out to ease your mind.
Other than that, this place can save your life. Post roll every day , early to make your promise to not use nicotine.
Make connections with other quitters, that will be your life line.welcome.

Glad to see you on roll, and 6 days is bad ass.
I would like to point out you aren't a 2 time quitter. You only quit once. You are a one time stopper who took a year long break.
I can say this because in 17 years, I was a 30-40 time stopper, saying I quit 30-40 times would be a joke. I had to realize I was an addict to become a quitter.

I am 23 days in and my tongue has felt strange for about 2.5 weeks. It feels like I ate too much salt or slightly burned it on hot coffee. As the day goes on, it feels like it swells up and make speaking some words difficult (especially words with s in them). Like everyone says, I guess it is part of the healing process so I just take it day to day waiting for it to get better. Today is really strange in that it feels like the nerves are waking back up in it as I get little jolts of nerve stimulation in it. Nothing that hurts, but feels strange.
