Title: New to site
Post by: kleek on October 30, 2013, 10:41:00 AM
I am new to the site and I qiut on 11 Sep 2013 after dipping for about 10 years. This is my second time quiting and I have made it about 40 days longer this time. This time it wasnt as hard to quit because I didnt make a big deal out of quiting. I just stopped and didnt tell anyone until one day when my wife noticed I hadnt been dipping.

Kleek,
First of all welcome to KTC. Second that is awesome that you went that long without a real support group. I hope that you spend some time and read up on this site because you never quit before you stopped. Make this time stick and QUIT.

Start posting roll with your group and use the tools and people from here to help you quit. If quitting was easy none of us would be here. You have made it far but without support you may not be able to continue.

The brother and accountability you will find here is unrivaled. I recommend you devote some time read up and meet some of the great human beings that can help you quit your addiction. They sure as hell have made my quit possible.

Glad you're quit, bro! Welcome to the site. The one thing I worry about in your quit is the fact that you have no accountability to anyone, nor any quit partners. Its commendable that you've gone this far on sheer willpower - but thats tough to do every single day. What this site brings to our quits is accountability.

You should join our program. Click on the pink-ish "WELCOME CENTER" link near the top left of the screen, and learn how it works.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Welcome to KTC Kleek. I noticed you have not posted roll yet. At 40 days quit, you will be in the December, 2013 quit group. In December, you will celebrate your 100 days of being nicotine free...your Hall of Fame date. Posting roll is the price of admission to KTC, nothing more or less. We post roll every day...it is our promise that we will not use nicotine that day. Simple, huh? Post roll, read all you can on the site and get involved. We are here to support you and will do so 24/7...but you have to reach out and let someone know if you are having problems. We can help. I have sent you a PM with my telephone number. Use it anytime you need to vent, rage or just talk to someone who has gone through what you are experiencing. Congrats on taking back your life. Wayne
