Title: Trying this out
Post by: TX_Cope_Quitter on January 05, 2012, 12:27:00 PM
Hello everyone. Started with Copenhagen at 17 yrs old. Now 34 and was up to over a can per day. Have tried many times to stop but after a few weeks I tell my self that I've proven that I can quit (and go back on the can). Decided I really need to quit and not start back up. Last dip way 12-30-11). Maybe this site will keep me in line and help with staying quit.

Good choice. Now make the choice of posting roll and joining thousands of quitters. Post roll in April--that will be your quit group. Accept the support this site has to offer.

#1 Post roll every morning
#2 repeat #1 every morning--this is your word not to use
#3 read everything on this site
#4 accept the support of thousands of quitters.
#5 you are an addict--know THAT

Pm me if you need anything!

Not MAYBE... this site WILL help you quit if you do it right. get numbers, post your role everyday, and be good to your word. We all quit together everyday, and you WILL too.

First of all ... Welcome. Where in Tx are you?

You have only proven you can temporarily stop, not quit. Quit means to cease and never do again. That is the jounery you will embark on when your name hits roll with a Day1.

Put your hard hat on and try not to lick the windows.

Never Again!!!

P.S. We DO NOT TRY, WE DO!!!

my intro- I'm CBird65 (newbie) in DFW area myself and dipper cope for 35 years- until 01/01/12 that is-

on day 5 so believe me I feel your pain- I went cold turkey- but on Tuesday bought a can of Smokey Mountain- won't comment on the flavor - just using it as a crutch right now

My mom gave me some herbal caps ( olive leaf extract) said it helps the body purge the toxins- after 35 yrs of dipping cope I'm full of toxins!

this morning was a bitch- yeah she woke me up at 2 and taunted my until 4 so I hit the gym hard this morning- I will wear this "bitch" out

Used to live in Dallas (actually Sunnyvale) until about 4 years ago. Also went cold turkey. Haven't tried any of the fake snuff yet. I've been hammering sunflower seeds and jollyranchers all week at work and it seems to be helping.

If you are tobacco and nicotine free for 6 days, then a day six post is correct.

Keep up the good work, reach out if you need anything.

Welcome aboard! it is a hell of a ride but well worth it. So, your in Ingleside? What do you do for work over there? Use to be around that area myself.

Thanks for the welcome. Can we spike the koolaid? My way of quitting didn't work so I'll do it this way.

You may not spike the kool aid. No alcohol for 200 days is my recommendation. Alcohol is the cause of many caves. It is a huge quit killer.
