Hey yall how's it going?
I've decided to quit. I threw all of my dip away yesterday morning, and wanted to wait a day to see if I was serious.
I've been looking through your site for several weeks. I've been thinking about quitting for a while now, rationalizing about how "this would be my last can" or "i'll quit when i finish finals, start school again, graduate, etc" (yall probably get the picture, as yall went through the same thing). I have only dipped for about 5 years, but I was hooked from that first dip, eventually peaking at 1 1/2 cans a day of Grizzly Long Cut Straight. Quitting is a lot harder than I thought.
Like I said, I threw out all of my dip yesterday; it was a decision months in the making. I'm glad I finally acted. I'm fed up spending $35 a week on a habit that will eventually rot my jaw off. I'm fed up with sore gums and the inside of my mouth feeling like hamburger. I'm fed up with putting other things aside just so I can dip, or buy more dip. I'm fed up with feeling like a junkie (if you think about it, that's what I am basically).
Anyway, I really admire what y'all are doing here and I hope that one day I can beat this and help people to quit. Just writing this distracted me from a craving.
If yall have any advice on how to sleep or get rid of that sinus headache pain behind the eyes let me know....Thanks a lot

Good luck and Welcome to this site. I wish I had made your decision earlier in life and stuck with it. I am having hell right now but am being told it gets better. So come out and hang out with us on this site and let's kick this bitch together 'Sno'
