Hi all. My name is Kevin and I'm 28-years-old from Seattle, Washington. I have been dipping and chewing since I was about 13-years-old, and heavily since I was 16. I've been trying to quit dipping, but did a half-assed job at it for the past few years. I found the Tom Kern story and found there was an e-mail address his wife posted up. I e-mailed her and she wrote me back! It was a touching e-mail she sent to me. To couple that, my sister-in-law is medicine doctor and was pumping a 27-year-old full of drugs while they dismantled his face due to a five-year Copenhagen Snuff habit. I didn't want to be that person, so I went cold turkey Wednesday April 22, 2010 (just over a week ago!!!! wow lol)
I don't feel that I've completely quit, because I resulted to Hooch Herbal Snuff. I've been dipping a lot of it, but not as much as I've dipped the Copenhagen Snuff.

Congratulations on the week of quit. Don't sweat the hooch. If it gets you off the nicotine then fantastic. Read all you can. There is a shit load of wisdom on this site and a hell of a lot of folks who have already gone through the shit.
Post roll. You should be in the August group - based on 1 week of quit equaling a April 24 quit date. Post roll!! If you are a man of your word you will find that is a tremendous motivation.

Jenny and daughter Kenzi are well aware of the power of Tom's Story and Ive had the oppertunity to chat with Jenny recently and she said that its very comforting to know the effect that sharing Toms story has on helping people make the right decision to Quit ~ Follow the men and women on here and you will build your own Quit Army that will battle with you and have your back each and every day ~

Thank you all for the support. I said my quit date was Wednesday April 22, 2010. That was a typo and was Wednesday April 21, 2010, so I am on day 12 without my "once-beloved and now hated" Copenhagen.
