Title: Quitting for good
Post by: ParamedicPablo on April 25, 2015, 09:53:00 PM
Well, Here I am sitting at the firehouse, with my last chew in my mouth, I started smoking when I was 18, transitioned over to smokeless tobacco on and off and the past year I have been chewing. I find it as a crutch with the job and signifacant down time, Its part of my life, or so I thought. I try quitting everyday and doesnt happen its always this is my last, the next the next etc. Till I found this site and read all the success stories, I quit for 3 months tobacco free and all It took was someone on a call to have a tin and I asked for a pinch. I regret every second of it. Tired of being a slave to tobacco and finally setting myself free. I want to feel better and be more healthy and well even tho its a bitch, Im kicking the can. I will rely on alot of you to get through this, and just reading all the postive that comes out of quitting something so enjoyable. Well Time to do it, nothing to it but to do it. Here goes nothing :)

Your intro seems very wishy washy.... I challenge you to look at whatever you hold near and dear in life and then look in the mirror and say I chose to kill myself every day a little at a time instead of taking care of myself and my loved ones! You need to man the fuck up in here, post roll and QUIT one day, one minute, one second at a time... Before you now it you will be a quitter like all of us here and begin living life again

Good luck and welcome

ParemedicPablo - If you're typing here, you don't have chew in. Other than that, you had me until "here goes nothing". If smart enough to quit, posting a day 1 is EVERYTHING. You're still relatively young. Don't be like me and quit at 51. Quit today. Do it now. Post that day 1 in the August 2015 group (http://forum.killthecan.org/topic/11112756/1/?x=90#new) which is the month you'll hit 100 days.

Do it now, your life literally depends on it.

Agree... "Here Goes" is just the biggest decision of your life.
Your making a decision not to play Russian Roulette.
And for what? A little lieing leaf that you don't need or never did need.
Seriously how did you ever survive before tobacco?
Guessing you got along just fine and will do the same again tomorrow, without it.
Learn the facts about tobacco.
Understand why you started.
Know why you are quitting for yourself and not someone else.
Stay focused on the Truth... It will set you free.
And KTC will keep you focused on the Truth. EDD ODAAT
Post Roll... Keep the Truth in front of you every morning.
I quit with you today and your decision.
