Title: was there and slipped
Post by: voodoo on September 29, 2013, 09:51:00 PM
Hey there everyone. Josh is the name. I started smoking about 11 years back and stopped that after about 6 years. I was free for about a year. I had a friend get me into a can. I started trying to quit about two weeks ago. I cut back from a can a day to almost nothing and stopped. So I made it about 4 days free. Will I slipped tonight and had to start over. Got in alittle fight about money with the wife. I felt really bad like it was my fault for being moody. Any helpful words here? 'fireman'

voodoo - join a quit group and post roll. Read the welcome center (look up and left - it's pink).

You didn't cave because you got in a fight with the wife about money. You caved because you chose to put nicotine in your body. The only place to point the finger is in the mirror.

Now, quit being a pussy and be a quitter.

Ask yourself this....

Did the money issue magically get resolved after you stuffed your lip full of posion and spit brown slime?

Did you guys kiss and make up after, because dip made it all better?

Did going to the can make everything better?

My guess is no, no and no.

Dip doesnt have that kind of power. Fuck, nothing does.

Grab your balls, find your quit group, start posting role and your promise not to use every morning, and fucking quit.

Stop running to your tin when things get tough and start living life free of addiction and realize dip fixes no problems, it causes them. Its a posion that over time takes away your nerves, your courage, and your balls. And oh yeah, it can give you cancer and fucking kill you.

Hey Voodoo. What matters around here is that you want to quit for you. As you may gather, most of the 16,000 boys and girls on this site are pretty hard core quitters that donÂ’t want to listen to your reasons, excuses or rationale for using nicotine. And they wonÂ’t listen no matter how hard you sugar coat it. What they will do is provide you with the tools to quit and help you along that rough patch of track. They will be there for you every step of the way to freedom. They will be there when you are hurting, when you are in the suck, when you feel like raging, venting or just talking to someone on the phone. Around here, we call that Brotherhood. Join us and you too will become a part of that select family of quitters. Put it off and the regrets will continue. You need to decide what you are going to do...we cant make that decision for you or throw out the can of shit you just bought.
Once you decide to throw the shit in the toilet where it rightfully belongs, you will be a Day 1 quitter. Joining us means you will do a few things. First and foremost, you will post Roll. Roll is your daily promise to yourself and all of your new brothers and sisters that you will not use tobacco in any form that day. You will post your name and the number of days you are quit each day in the January 2014 quit group. Each and every day you will post your promise. No exceptions. That is the price of admission to KTC. Nothing more and nothing less. January 2014 does not have more than a few quitters in it right now, as it just opened up a couple of days ago. The reason you are put in January is that will be the month if you join us today that you will celebrate being 100 days free of nicotineÂ…your Hall of Fame date.
Now that you know the basics, it is time to read all you can on this site. Go to the welcome center and that will get you started. Post roll and look up at your inbox (1). That is a personal message from me with my telephone number.

Own your quit. Read everything here: WELCOME CENTER, intros, words of wisdom, everything you can. Start drinking the Kool-Aide, jump in the water's fine. It will not be easy at first, but if you follow the path you can do it.
