Hello everyone.
I officially quit tuesday the 8th at 12:00am. I will remember because I could not have any food, water or tobacco after midnight. I had a biopsy of my left cheek and gum line Tuesday morning. I wrote the date on the back of the can and placed it on my desk. It has been one of the hardest things I have ever attempted. 30 years of Copenhagen and I never wanted to quit. Doctors have told me about what it would do but I was thinking that was not me. Well, guess again dumbass.

You will be fine. Think positive. Then stay the fuck quit. WHEN you get your clean bill of health, you better not fucking look a gift horse in the mouth.

#1. You are doing the right thing by getting a biopsy. But remember, sores are normal, right after you quit.
#2. If you want to quit, stick close to the site.
#3. Keep us posted. We have a person(s) here that can help, if you really need it.

42 years old from Winter Park Florida....let the can run my life for 30 years and honestly...I did not mind. Now that I am quitting I am starting to see how much of my life involved that shat. I honestly would roll out of bed and reach for my can. Most nights I fell asleep with it in my mouth and would have to spit that out first. Can and a half per day and to quit cold turkey...major league bitch.

I did not order the biopsy...my dentist has kept an eye on my gums for the last 5 years. She noticed the discoloration under my callus. She honestly freaked and scheduled me to meet the oral surgeon. I was in the dentist Friday week, in the surgeons office Monday morning. He did the Biopsy the next morning. I guess the way they were "rushing" it made me freak a little.

I got sidetracked......sorry. I have been living in Florida for the last 10 years. Originally from Tennessee. I have been married 12 years and have two daughters that are 11 9.
Professionally, I am a custom rock pool designer.
