After 22 plus years and countless broken promises to myself I pledged Jan 1st as my quit date. I started early. My last dip was yesterday the 30th around 7am. I do have a fat (fake)dip in right now of smokey mountain wintergreen which is helping. No cravings yet just a slight headache. I'm wearing the bracelet and this is it. I love this site and I hope to make new friends here. Thank you in advance. You guys are the best.

What is this bracelet you speak of? Here is the deal..Now listen closely because you are an addict who is now quit. This is going to be different then anything you have tried before! You need to post your promise first thing in the morning. That way you will know you are quit for the day. Next day repeat. There is no failure! There is no just one! NEVER AGAIN! I need to know you have my back if I need you. I will know that your quit because your name is on the roll. Get ready for the ride, have a plan for tonight! It isn't hard, we will be there with you if you need anything. I will send you my number in personal message top right Inbox (1). Lets Do this..I quit with you!

Awesome decision to start early. You can do it. We will help you. And you will help us. We're all in it together. 2 years ago I was in same position as you. It is the best thing you will ever do.
I still use the fake stuff too. Do whatever you need to stay away from the nic. For a while it seems same, but over time it eases up, you wont freak out over not having any with you, will be able to go days without even thinking of it, etc. For now use it to break the chemical addiction, work on the physical part later.

That wristband is a good reminder for you to never go back. It was also a little donation to this bad ass web site. Take ownership of your quit! Stay close to this website and I promise you will succeed!

James - I have been quit for a while now. I've never guaranteed myself that I would quit forever. I might cave in the future. Perhaps I'll decide that I'm cured of my addiction and this site is no longer necessary. Maybe I'll get drunk with my old buddies and forget myself. Maybe I'll face some unspeakable tragedy and turn to chew for false comfort.

It sure as hell won't happen today. I've given my word not to use tobacco today. Day 1,687. The word "try" plays no part in my quit. Today, my quit is absolute. I've never taken anything more seriously in all my life. One day at a time.

Perhaps I'll decide that I'm cured of my addiction and this site is no longer necessary. Maybe I'll get drunk with my old buddies and forget myself. Maybe I'll face some unspeakable tragedy and turn to chew for false comfort.
