Title: Just quit
Post by: mike2017 on February 07, 2013, 06:07:00 PM
Im 19 years old and i have been dipping for about 4 years now. I know that probably doesnt seem that long for some of yall but for me it is. For about 2 and a half years ive been dipping a can a day and my life has revolved around the "next pinch". I found this website because ive tried numerous times to quit and have never been successful and i threw away my can and i quit today. I have always tried to do it myself and i think that with the help of this forum i can do it. So here goes nothing!!

Good decision on kicking your nicotine habit to the curb. This site can help. We don't use words like try or hope as they are just another excuse for our addictive brains to tell us anohter lie. There are no short cuts, but here are some links that will help you navigate this site.

This a a NO NICOTINE SITE, period, no discussion. Why this Site Works (http://www.killthecan.org/about/why.asp)

Biggest thing to do is get acquainted with this site. Highly recommend you go here: WELCOME CENTER (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showforum=13) and Getting acclimated (http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showtopic=7614)

Your quit decision MUST be 100% your decision. Anything short of that sets you up for failure by allowing your addict brain to blame a given situation as reason for you to go back to the can

Welcome mike, congrats on your decision!

We get a lot of young quitters like you. To be honest, the success rate is still pretty low with you guys.

Don't fuck this up. You have a golden opportunity to not be like me and a bunch of other old farts. Get this done while you are young.

Shout if you need anything.

Seeing young guys like you successfully quit is inspiring. I wish I had quit 40 years ago but I can't change that but I can do the same as you and quit today! That has been my inspiration every morning for the past 312 days and I know you can too! Post roll now, in your may 13 group! Pm me if you need help.
