Hey everyone,
My name is Brandon Owen. Been dipping on and off since 2008. I have a 4 month old baby at home and want to be around to see him grow up! I started dipping pouches in college as a way to help with the all nighters. Would put one in every week or so. Didn't think it was a big deal but the seed had been planted. I then "quit" after graduation for about 4 years. I got a new job in 2014 that was a little stressful at first while I was getting used to it and thought I'd get a can to help push me through. Huge mistake. 2 years later and I was still chewing a 1/2 can to a can of Grizzly Wintergreen per day. It is time to kill this bad habit for good. I've tried to quit before during the past 2 years. I usually make it about a week and then reason with myself that dip isn't that bad and I start up again. No more. I joined here so that I can be held accountable.

That shit definitely sneaks up on you. Grew up where everyone seemed to dip and I never touched it til college and all of a sudden 22 yrs had passed all of them with a cancerous dip in my lip. This site helps people stay quit. Find your quit group and post roll every day. Posting roll is your promise to others in your quit group that you will not use nicotine for that day. A simple little promise makes all the difference. Read all of the stories on this site. They help a lot, some are truly inspirational, some truly scary and some simply let you know that we are all going through the same shit and together it is possible.

In order to combat you addiction, I urge you to get to know your fellow quitters, swap phone numbers and use them and get involved here. The heavier you stack the deck in your favor, the better shape you will be in. Glad to have you here!

^^^^ this. Brandon do a little research on google about the relationship of addiction and the brain. Nicotine and the brain for that matter. You will learn that as an addict, YOU CANNOT HAVE JUST ONE. NOT NOW, NOT 2 WEEKS FROM NOW, NOT 2 YEARS FROM NOW, NOT 200 YEARS FROM NOW. You will go straight back to your half a can a day addiction (not a habit) or worse! It is proven a fact. Just stop doing it. Quit moment to moment, minute to minute, hour to hour, and finally day to day. Quitting for a day is achievable. Just keep and it!
