I started dipping at the age of 16. I used to get grizzly wintergreen. It was cheap and got the job done. I would dip before practice, in class, at swim meets, out in public, and everywhere I felt necessary. A few days after my 17th birthday my Mom ran into me walking around town with a lip in. She told me to get my ass home and told me, a smart straight A student Athlete, that I was giving my life to something that wouldn't help me in any way. I made a million excuses that it helped me on finals and sleep and finally realized through arguing that she was helping me. She took my stash (2 logs and 70 used cans) and cried at the sight of it. I quit that day in july and didn't even think about it the rest of the summer except the whole week after I quit. I relapsed my junior year in the beginning of September due to my friends. I got another man into it and I feel like quitting is the best option but at the same time i want to do it lightly. I need some help here

You either hate nicotine and are quit, or your not. There is no "light" use.
Do some soul searching and READ. Start in the HOF Speeches or the Hall of Legends. Read those stories and see if you can relate. If so, and you want to take ownership of your life, read the Welcome Center and jump into KTC full throtle. Cold Turkey! No nic allowed in here.

this site is full of people that have been through more than you can imagine and made t out on top. You have the drive in you, just dig down deep inside and find that one thing that makes you want to quit mostly and use that as a drive you to keep up the quit. if you need a person to vent or to listen to let me know i will gladly stand by you and help you keep on going.

Welcome. It sounds like you're pretty young but smart enough to know that you gotta quit this crap before it robs you of very precious things: time, life, money, pride, honesty... First things first, your bros here will help you see the BS in what you say and help you become accountable for your choices.
"I caved because XYZ." XYZ is BS.
Congrats on your decision and welcome aboard.

man stop now while it's a little bit easier. i started at 15 and was a slave for 20 years. It's an addiction. it's not something to play around with. It will rule you. The only way out is to make a decision to quit. this site is an amazing resource. Make the most of it and you can do quit now so you don't waste years of your life and thousands of dollars on nicotine

Hmmmm....I bet you also failed that history test because your teacher is an asshole. Part of maturity is being able to point the finger at yourself.
I don't want to live in a world where we don't have the freedom to make our own choices. And take responsibility for our own choices. Fuck high school "peer pressure". It's called being weak.
