Hi everybody my name is Mike. I have only been chewing for a few years, but I chew a lot. Today is day 2 for me and I feel like hell, but if it's what I have to do be nicotine free it's worth it..
-
Mike, I am on Day 4, and yes it does suck, but dig in and quit like a bad ass. I quit with you today.
-
Thank you sir. Good luck, we can all get through this.

Glad to have you with us. Post roll every day and make the promise to stay nicotine free. Promise yourself and promise everyone here; it's an essential part of staying quit.
Reach out to people here. Exchange phone numbers so that you have someone to keep you accountable. Having someone you can text who knows what you're going through when you get a craving really helps.
Get involved here. Keep posting in your intro to tell us more about yourself and how your quit is going. Encourage others while you're here. This forum is only as useful as you allow it to be.
Feel free to PM me if I can help in any way.

best way i found to help with quitting is getting the shredded beef jerky in a can and pack a lip with that

I promise I will not chew! I'm gana be posting a lot especially these first days. And I've found wintergreen mints are doin the job pretty well.

Mike-
Have you been to the Welcome Center to read how to post roll? There are tutorials showing you exactly how to do it and there's even a video.
Learn how and do it every day. There's more to this than just posting in your intro that you won't use nicotine. Not everyone may look at your intro thread. But, there will be plenty of people who will be in your quit group that'll be looking for your name on roll call.

Day 4 is going pretty good so far! I got my winter green mints and i'm just pushing through. It was my first time working on my car without a dip today and lemme tell you, it was not an easy task. Looking forward to going to do some racing at the track this weekend nicotine free!

CONGRATS!!! 4 Days is HUGE. The nicotine is out of your system now...but I bet you're not out of the fog just yet. It is still cause for celebration. When was the last time you were truly nic free? Freedom, even with a little fog, feels better than a day as a slave.
You got this, brotha!!! Well done earning your freedom. Read all you can and never go back!!!
-
Well done, Mike. Stay strong, you got this. Quitting with you today.
-
Day 6 and I'm deep in the fog today. Can't focus on anything and all I can think about is the smell of wintergreen. I'm not gana cave though, I'm a bigger man than that.

atta boy mike...rub your finger under your ball sack and smell that if that helps

Expect the fog to continue for a while but you're winning. It's worth it. Stay strong. Chewing gum helped me a lot. Best wishes.
