hi guys im johnathan i have been dipping since February(usually about 1-2 cans a day) and i really want to quit i have tried before not lasting more than about 2 days so here i am i am looking for tips and support it has been 24 hours since i have had a dip it was a long day

Welcome Johnathan! If you're serious about quitting, this site's program is really simple. Make roll call each day, and promise to quit for that day. Only focus on today, deal with tomorrow later. There is also a lot of information to read on this site that will help you cope with your quit. And you will find a lot of people available and willing to help you through kicking your addiction in the ass.
I'm quitting with you, don't let yourself down on this decision.

Do you promise me you will go the entire day of Nov 15th, 2013 without any nicotine of any kind whatsoever? Will you learn how to post roll every day for at least 100 days? Are you a man of integrity and will you keep your word to your fellow quitters?
If so, I will post your name for thursday the 15th. You will need to read all there is on this website. get names, numbers, and contacts to help you stay quit. Then you need to help with other newbies like myself stay quit. Can I depend on you John????

John, Mogul's pointed questions should be taken seriously, because this is serious business. You have just declared war on the toughest, meanest, nastiest, most ruthless enemy you will ever do battle with. A lot of people are going to be investing in your defense and offense. Glad to be Quit with you today, and you will officially be part of my quit group.
Learn how, and post roll and soon as you can.
Once posted you have PROMISED everyone on that list that you won't use nicotine for that day.
All I can say after you post roll is don't let everyone else down, don't let yourself down, and most of all don't let the bitch that has enslaved you for this long already win even ONE more day.

Mogul did you a huge solid by posting for you. However, I want to add to that and give you links so you can post for yourself and achieve your own level of accountability.

Post Roll daily. This is your promise to stay quit, understand that KTC is all about brotherhood and Accountability. Make sure that these words mean something to you. Also understand that all of us quitters care so when a cave happens people will take that shit personally. We invest time into people and the quit groups are like tight families of quit.
Finally, find an alternative, fake dip, candy, gum, mints, etc. Drink lots of water, so much that you cannot pass a bathroom without having to piss.
Now these guys are all being very nice and inviting to you. I love that they are supporting you. But you need to prepare to fight your ass off. Luckily you have not been addicted as long as some of us addicted morons were/are. However, it will not be easy. Pony up and be ready because this ride sucks until it doesn't.
