Hey guys, I'm not really sure what to say. I'm 25, I've been chewing and or smoking basically every day for the last 7 years. I stopped once for a week about 5 years back but fell right back into the trap. However, I've been creepin around on these forums for the past few days and I am finally ready to demolish this filthy fucking habit. I can't stand the control it has on my life, its absolutely ridiculous. I just took out my last dip and flushed the rest of my can. I'm like sweating as I type this, its pathetic. I'm pretty pumped right now but also scared shitless. Definitely gonna need your guys' support.

Welcome. As many will tell you, embrace the suck! It will remind you just how poisonous this addiction is. Drink water, exercise, keep reading this site.
With the weekend here you need a plan-- one that includes fake (no nicotine) dip, hard candy, seeds, or whatever to take the edge off of craves. Go to the March 2016 quit group, post your promise not to use nicotine for 24 hours on roll and get some phone numbers. Repeat in the morning.
Your sweating now, your quit may become hour to hour or minute to minute. The key to have in mind: you can beat nicotine today.

Thank you man. I just posted roll call, messed it up at first but think I got it now haha. I basically chewed gum whenever I didn't have a dip or food in, so I'll probably be going through a shit ton of gum today.

... this filthy fucking habit.
Slight redirect on your mindset... this isn't a habit, dude. It's an addiction.
Big difference.
Spend some time wrapping your head around that and owning it. This is the right place for you to be. Follow the path we've laid out... get involved and stay involved. Do that and you won't fail. Freedom is waiting man... grab it.

Feeling pretty good today! Last night was weird though, I was walking around Seattle and just felt so foggy /out of it. Always feel like I'm missing something, but I haven't had any angry outbursts or anything yet which is nice :)

Reedy,
Welcome to the site. We're all same here; nicotine addicts; every last one of us.
We are glad to bring you into the fray here and lend you a pretty robust support system. Ultimately, it's on you. If you want to quit, which is sounds like you do, you will. It's that simple. Quit today, quit tomorrow, and quit every fucking day; but only quit one day at a time. If you allow yourself to overrun your headlights, you will fail.
One day at a time - ODAAT.
Post roll. Form some strong bonds with your quit group, and keep you fucking word to them.
JP - 85 - i quit with you, today

I'm like sweating as I type this, its pathetic.
It's not pathetic, it's Heroic. Think about how many people are putting a dip in their mouth right now and are thinking to themselves, "Gosh, I need to quit this so bad"..... or "Why do I continue to do this to myself?"......
I am 26; also Quit when I was 25 and also did it for about 7 years... I know I said those words mentioned above dang near every time I had one or shortly after... for the last year or two I engaged in this filthy addiction. That is when I decided to Set Myself Free of this slavery... And freedom is much, much tastier than any dip, no matter the cut or flavor.... trust me.
Stay Quit and watch your Life drastically improve. NAFAR: Never Again for Any Reason
