I joined because I can't seem to quit, I've tried, I can't do it by myself, I have gone a month without it, but I found myself going right back to it. I'm done. It's gonna be hard. 2 years of copenhagen. I'm taking back control. Oh, and its crunch time in college... Probably not the best time to decide to quit but here it goes.

Hey, come on in. There is no good time to quit except NOW. You want to wait until the doc calls you in to discuss that bleeding patch in your mouth? Would that be a good time? My sister was murdered and her body dumped in a river. It took us 5 days to find it and by that time you could barely recognize her. Was it a good time for me to quit? It was damn stressful. But it was the perfect time for me to quit. Life will always throw stuff at us and we have to be ready to throw...no, swing and fight back. Because we get only one shot at this life and everyone on KTC has decided life is better without nicotine. I know you do t believe me, I didn't either. But life is better without nicotine. This freedom is intoxicating, to quote a fellow quitter.
You've got this by the balls, proud to be quit with you.

Masterseven, these guys are right. It's time to break your ghey relationship with tobacco. No excuse to postpone your quit ever trumps a reason to quit. We are all addicts. You can't bullshit an addict. All of us have lied, deceived, and made excuses.
We support the addict that decides to take control. I promise you that it will be a hard battle, but you will soon break the shackles and taste the freedom from vice.
Just do it and I'll be your brother. We can get throught it. If you aren't ready, go look for sympathy somewhere else. With kTC you either quit or get the fuck out of here. Try is not our program. We fight and win. It starts now! Flush everything, make your promise and post roll.

M7: 'clap' 'clap' 'clap'
Way to go! I am quit with you too. One day at a time. Read what to expect....its really accurate. That way you can mentally prepare for each phase of the war.
Just keep your word, post your promise everyday, suffer and repeat. Before you know it, the suffering goes away. Enjoy the pain. It will keep you resolved to stay quit.
I am so happy you told tobacco to take a hike. PM me if you want to trade numbers for support.

You'lll read a lot about embracing the suck! My take on this is that you embrace the suck of quitting( and it does SUCK) and you will appreciate what you have accomplish and you will not want to through that pain away for a little pinch of shit in you mouth.

Just think, in a little over 24 hours, all the nicotine will be out of your system.
Then it's just the mind games. I'll quit with you today.

Yes the nicotine will be out of your system but the physical withdraws do last more than 3 days. Yes there will be mind games but the fog, sleeplessness, anxiety, irritability....ect can last for a while still. On day 2, chances are it will get a little worse before it gets better.
Hang in there. we know the feeling!!!
