Hey everyone-never introduced myself. I'm AgapePhileros, Greek for in love with my God. Looks like i'm the one of the youngest members on the site. As a college student on my winter break, I decided to make a change for the better over vacation and just quit already. I was tired of having the nic bitch on me all day and wanted to stop having a dependency. Found this site, and saw that it will provide all the accountability that I need to stay quit, but I realized you have to search it out too... so that's what I'm doing now; I need that brotherhood. In the March 2013 quit group and even know I don't know all of the guys yet, I still want to commit every bit of myself to staying quit and hold my promise to all of them. Feel free to pm me whenever;

Congrats Homie!! Its all about keeping a promise to all of us! Trust me! If you dont post it wont just be your class checking on you. It will be anyone that you have reached out to so make sure to reach out as much as possible!
Stay Strong! Remember, when you go back to school you will have to continue to keep your promise to us and conquer all of those triggers. It will be like starting over again with out the fog. Trust me!! I tried quitting over break one year. Infinite fail because once I got back to school, I was surrounded by all of the influences I avoided by quitting at home! Be strong and pass the word to your friends at school on how this site works! Dont preach it, offer it! Be a leader and an example to your friends. You will be surprised who will reach out to you if you are strong. No better feeling than helping someone else quit and it will make your quit that much stronger!!

Congrats on making a great choice, Agape. Post roll everyday, keep your word, and repeat. That is all there is to it. Simple...not easy, but simple.
One day at a time is your new way of life. Plan in advance for the tough times. What are you going to do...seeds, fake stuff, whatever...but plan now. Roll Call, exercise, water and tons of Breathsavers (green) helped me.
Stay strong and stay quit, brother!

Yes you are on the roll in March, great job.
I bolded part of your last post. It is amazing. Accountability between people that have only shared written words on an internet forum. But it doesn't stop there. Indeed several of us have spoken on the phone, share texts and emails regularly and have even met in person. Let's put it this way, if you can feel the accountability from internet strangers, imagine how far you can go by developing internet relationships into personal friendships.

Day 12 and I'm feeling good. Got through vacation with my friends without nic and today is the first day without bad cravings. However, still realizing the nic bitch is on the prowl but now I feel a little more prepared for what she has ready for me as I go dip free into the new year. I quit today!
