Title: Long Overdue

I've been dipping for roughly 8 years and have realized that its time to call it quits. With the help of BazookaJoe, I have not had a dip since November 10, 2014. I've been chewing gum like a mad man and looking to get some extra support/accountability through this long journey. A few weeks prior to November 10th I began to wean myself off the grizzly by cutting it with Smokey Mountain. This has really seemed to help compared to the previous times I tried to quit.

Well it's about frickin time sweetheart. I was growing a bit concerned that you would never post an intro. I spoke with a guy in the February quit group and it looks like you're good to go. You gotta post roll or you're going to make me look bad because I'm sticking my neck out for you...just kidding but roll is the cornerstone of KTC. If you forget, you will be hammered by me and your quit group. If you need help posting roll you have my digits and you work a stone's throw from me so there is no excuse. Welcome aboard bud. Get active on here and get to know the people on here...these guys and gals are some of the most awesome people you will find.

Just having friends that are going through the exact same thing you are makes all the difference in the world. Don't let Bazooka Joe or us down!

Welcome aboard! One day at a time you are taking your life back. No pain, no gain. You've got a great mentor that will help you navigate the bumps but if I can help shoot me a PM. my number is yours for the asking.

You need to read up some Words of Wisdom and HOF speeches on the main page to really grasp the fact you need to be here because you are an addict. Why try to do something this monumental by yourself? You don't have to be a slave to the can. You have to remember we are all just like you, except we keep coming back here every day to promise our brethren that we will not use nicotine today.

Can you do that too? Once you make the commitment that you are quit, you will embrace ever phase of your quit. Just know that you are not alone with the thoughts that race through your brain. We all have the same addict thoughts and temptations. Once you think you have got this licked, you will be blindsided by the nicbitch. She preys on new triers and stoppers. Only a man who draws the line in the sand can fend her off. You draw a line with a promise to yourself and the people in the trenches with you that you will not use nicotine for the day. It is that simple. Your word is everything around here.

Once you give your promise, you are liberated to take on the day knowing that nicotine is not an option for you today because you gave your word. Hope you wake up Sunday and read this and reconsider what it's going to take to tackle your addiction. Remember, you did this to yourself and it's not going to be easy to get your life back, but I'm willing to stand here with you and help see you through your trials.
