Title: Today is the day
Post by: Determined1 on December 17, 2015, 09:32:00 AM
The can has controlled my life to long. I have been chewing for about 3 years on and off. Anytime a stressful situation presents itself I go get a can. I have used tobacco in one form or another since I was about 15. In the past when I have quit, day 3-7 is one of the toughest for me. I have tried sunflower seeds and gum. The longest I quit was about 3 months. I need the support of others to quit.

Determined...you are in the right place. This house is full of Bad Ass Quitters in every stage of Quit. Make sure to go and link up with the March 16 Quit Group. The entire KTC community is behind you, but this select group of guys/gals are fighting the battle in the same stages as you.

The price of admission is free. All we ask is you make a promise EDD (every damn day) and EARLY (not a status at the days end) and keep that promise to all of KTC. One day at a time. You can do this.

You mentioned day 3-7...The Suck. Its all mental. Nic didn't help with stress, it was the mini withdrawals that created stress. Trust me, when you are clear of the suck life is soooo much better.

PM anytime

Thanks for keeping me honest. I will make my commitment every morning and have a ton of seeds and gum. Already exercise a lot, but plan on doing more running in the next few weeks to wear my ass out.

Get phone numbers from fellow quitters... sometimes a text will save your quit.

This sounds weird, but I promise it will pay off. Glad to have you D1. You can do this.

Well determined, you've been given good advice. Post roll daily and record your quit here so you can come back and se why you quit and what it was like. As a 4+ decade addict I can tell you that you're always 1 dip away from falling back into slavery. In my 40 years I stopped 2 times for over 2 years each only to crawl back like a dog eating his vomit. Don't underestimate the power of this addiction we have.
