Title: Middle East Quit
Post by: CTDrill on December 01, 2016, 05:50:00 AM
Hello everyone. I am a 31 yr. old Oilfield hand currently working in Kuwait. Been dipping for 15 yrs. Have a beautiful daughter and two hell on wheels boys. Ive been saying I need to quit for the last 5-6 yrs. My grandmother died of lung cancer ( former smoker ) and my grandfather in law is in a critical decline from lung cancer also. Ive read a couple of post and it seems we are all the same. I'm just tired of it. Tired of wasted money and wasted time. I dip to dip. A can a day or more if it's a long day especially here at work. I think the backbreaker for me is seeing my son crying about his papaw dying. Hopefully it's not to late to clear some of the effects of my nicotine use. I dont want to go the way his papaw is and have my kids go through this again because I can't put down a can. Will definitely need you guys help. Todays the day.

Great job CT. Way to post roll. That's your daily promise. Focus on your quit and read up here. We've all gone through what you are experiencing. Welcome to the best decision!

Just being sick and tired of being a slave to it is the reason I quit too CT. It just got to be too much work. Life is so much simpler without it. Great job posting roll and welcome to KTC!

Welcome home brother. Remember its never too late to quit. Each day you are here you are bettering yourself. Just remember what your motivation is an never forget that no matter how much it sucks to quit. My strongest motivation isn't that my lady wanted me to quit, or that my mom wanted me to quit. My strongest motivation is that nobody thought that I can quit because of all my past failures. They "knew" that I couldn't quit and as such I started to believe them. One day I said fuck that shit, I am going to prove myself wrong. Not them. Me. Stay Quit brother and we are all here if and when you need us.
