On November 26, 2015 I quit cold turkey. I had my last dip on 11/25/15 at 9:15pm. I have urges only at certain points of my day. When I wake up, when I take a morning crap, when I get in my truck, when I get to my office, after I eat lunch, when I leave work, after the gym, when I get home and as I take a shower before bed. Those are the ONLY times I crave the fresh taste of Copenhagen Long Cut (Gold Top). My wife (before she was my wife) refused to buy it. Then as the years got in the double digits she started to buy them for me. I WAS a can a day. I just ordered me some GRINDS to replace the craving for a dip. Anyways, I will be on here a lot. Thanks for reading my small tidbit of a story.

12 days on your own is a heck of a start!
Being "on here a lot" and the grinds are good planning.
You should check out a quit group (March 2016... they are set by when you get to 100 days). Go say hello, post roll with them. Ask for tips on how to get past each of your triggers (I would only add breathing to get my own list), or anything else about your quit.
Keep posting how your quit goes... health changes, small victories, rough spots. That will give you a way to remember what it took to be free of nicotine, a way to remind yourself to ignore nicotine whispering in your ear when you think your are past it all.

We've all been right where you are, Mike. The good news is we all got through it as well. The first few days are tough, but you can do it. Just keep grinding. Post roll with your brothers in March, get to know them, and together you can beat your addiction down one day at a time (ODAAT).
My best advice is read everything you can on this site. I spent the first two weeks of my quit reading hours and hours a day because it kept my mind off of the craves and because I could barely see straight for awhile (we call this the "fog"). You have to want to be quit so badly that you are willing to do anything to refrain from putting that shit in your lip. The good news is we only promise ODAAT. We don't promise for tomorrow, and we certainly don't quit "forever". Today, all damn day, I'm quit.
You have a hell of a head start by quitting so long on your own, but open up to the support here. You no longer have to tough this out by yourself. Lean on people on here when you need to and reach out if you can help. This site makes quitting for me and thousands of others possible.

I know it's hard to wrap your mind around right now but. Your not fighting a bad habit. You are an addict with one of the hardest addictions to quit. Another thing you need to work on is a good strong hatred of the shit that has ruled your life all this time. Hate nicotine, hate big tabacco. Hate those big hot shot executives that advertised to kids. Hate the plant it's self. Hate the weak pussy that nicotine made you. (And it did because you didn't have control over it). But now you do! Post roll early every day.

Hi man! Congratulations on an outstanding decision. If my math is correct, you've already pocketed close to $50 in savings in addition to the other outstanding benefits of not putting that shit in your mouth!
You know, I kind of had to laugh at you list of the few times in the day when you crave... Cause it looks like most of the day! I promise you, it gets easier. It really does. And the clean fresh taste isn't really what you miss... It is nicotine taking away the withdrawal symptoms of not using nicotine. None of that is really important though. You being here is.
See, Ktc is a group quit. We lean on, yell at, and rely on each other. It works. Please listen to the bad asses that posted above me sbout posting roll. It works.
Congratulations!

On November 26, 2015 I quit cold turkey........................... Anyways, I will be on here a lot.
To be on here a lot you actually have to "be on here". Last activity was when you posted that. For KTC to work its magic you have to be involved or post roll at the minimum.
