Hey guys,
I'm 19 and i had been dipping for four years, which doesn't seem like a long time, but my personality is extremely addictive. I had my first dip on the varsity baseball team school bus, and bang. instahooked. Ever since that day I had been killing one to two cans a day, everyday. Every time I did anything I was thinking about when my next lip was going to be. Now I am one week quit after seeing cancer affect my family, and the withdrawal effects are killing me. Everything sucks, I don't wanna drive anywhere cause I won't have dip. I don't want to go see my friends cause I feel like I'm not really the same dude anymore, and my girlfriend sees that I'm becoming numb to a lot of stuff and I can see that she's frustrated with me. I don't mean to come on here and bitch, but I really need to vent and get all of this off of my chest to someone who can UNDERSTAND. I am very determined to quit but I need some support from someone somewhere and thats why I came here. Thank you for your time in reading this.

Welcome my friend. First off, you can do this. If you have gone a week without the evil nic bitch without the help of this site and the brothers on here, then you are on your way to a life free from nicotine. I promise you it will get better. The firs week is horrible. I am only at 10 days tomorrow, but it has gotten better. You have to first off post roll every single fckn morning. No excuses. Posting roll is the single most important act you can do in the morning because that is your pledge to all of your brothers on KTC that you will not use nicotine that day. Then you quit, stay quit and repeat daily. Don't break your word to us and learn to lean on all of us. PM me and I will provide my number for support for the both of us. We are all fighting this together.

Jblev, great job quitting thus far. You need to join your quit group and post roll call. Read the welcome center about why we post roll call and then go hit November 2014 roll call. Yell if any questions.

You are just like the rest of us. Post roll, and get hooked up in chat, join Kakao, and get some numbers! Congrats on the quit... It's gonna start getting better for you every day from here on out!

Congratulations on an excellent decision. I'm glad you made it at a much younger age than I did. You can do this one day at a time. I think you are just a couple days ahead of me. I know it's hard man, be we're going to get through it. It's almost my bedtime, so I'm hoping to get some relief through sleep. Let's get up and quit together tomorrow brother!

I only wish I had the courage at your age to stop. 30 years later, I finally had enough.
If you need anything you can PM me. I have the same addictive personality.

Welcome to the family, Jblev. Get involved and get connected with people early in their quit just like you. Also get connected with some more experienced quitters, and some vets.
Brotherhood and accountability will keep you quit.
PM me if there's anything I can do to help. Proud to be quit with you today.

The trajectory of your life just changed course dramatically for the better. Good stuff.

Welcome Jblev! We are in this together! The withdrawal right now really sucks, but I am confident in what I hear from others that it does get better!

Welcome Jblev,
We are in the same class-Nov 14. I think we have a lot in common and could help eachother stay quit. check your PMs.

Same boat with the addictive personality. You are way ahead of the game and hitting the mind games! If you feel like driving is causing a trigger, go with some herbal snuff or get some seeds to help with that oral fixation. I use the herbal snuff and it helps. I am on day 3 and woke up this morning not even craving the oral fixation so I am hoping dependence on herbal snuff goes away as well.
Let us know if you need anything!

Congrats on a great choice, JBlev. 4 years or 40 years...doesn't matter. You're an addict. And you'll always be an addict. But what does matter is that YOU CHOSE TO TAKE BACK CONTROL. Now, all you have to do is post roll, read all you can and repeat.
Quitting is done one day at a time. It is a privilege reserved to those who have the guts to do it. I understand that you THINK things suck right now. Turn that around. Think this way...YOU GET TO FEEL LIKE SHIT BECAUSE YOU CHOSE TO SAVE YOUR LIFE. Embrace the suck. Feel it. Experience it. It is the feeling on healing, brother!!!
You got this.
