My name is Rob, I am 43 and have been an addict for at least 25 years. I started this journey yesterday afternoon but did not post anything until now. I am one of those people who have always had a hard time opening up and letting people in. I am ready to ask and let people help me thru this process. I hung around most of the day yesterday reading posts. This gave me the strength I needed to get thru the day. Today is a new day. This day is already a harder day. Please give me the strength to make it thru.

Hello Rob and welcome. It is a simple rule that we all live by here at KTC: post roll everyday promising to not use nicotine for THAT day, and that day alone. We fight hard here and there are a lot of guys that have been where you have. Reach out. Ask questions. We are all brothers and sisters here. On the top right hand of the page there is your inbox where you can read the pm I sent you.

Hey Rob, welcome to the party! Good news is, the nic is almost out of your system. Stick around and get involved in someway, shape or form. It took me quite a while to open up and trust these creeps here, and its the best damn group of people you could ever trust in. Keep reading, reading, reading. There is so much help and information here to get you through this. The tools lay around here everywhere, and if you have any questions, post them up in your group or here. As far as the strength to get through it, theres only one way to do it.....balls out. We cant quit for you, but we can sure as hell quit along side you!! If you need anything feel free to pm me.

Welcome, glad to have you on board. Roam is right, open up and let these brothers and sisters in. We can be a pillar for you to lean on when you feel like the quit needs support. I think you'll find that once you open up, and start developing trusts with your quit brothers you will soon find yourself in an accountability system, one that has likely never existed before. That accountability will be key in keeping that daily process to remain quit because although you quit for you, you have to answer to many. One day at a time bro.

Welcome to KTC. You're in the right place to quit. You can do this today. No one here can really give you the strength to get thru today. What we can do is tell you that you hold all the cards today. We have all been in your position. We know you can do this because we did. You have the strength within you to say NO to nicotine and to stay quit today.
Focus on getting thru this day quit. Time to take back your freedom. Fight today!

I am one of those people who have always had a hard time opening up and letting people in.
This reminds me of my first post. I said something about being an introvert and I probably wouldn't have much to say. 'crackup' I haven't shutup for 2 years. In reality the more active you are the better your odds are at success. Let the brotherhood grow and you will not only quit day by day but you will meet addicts that understand your journey and struggles.

You've come to the right place. This site is full of people who have your back and will help keep you accountable in your quit. Reach out to people and exchange numbers. It's a big help when a craving hits to be able to talk with someone who knows what you're going through. PM me if I can help at all.

Day 2 is over, thankful for that. Woke up in a good positive mood to take on day 3. Looking forward to the Nicotine being out of my body.
Stay stronge
