Hang on brother.
There are lots of firemen, policemen, oldmen, youngmen, in here.
all are quitters and will help you.
You're in the right place to get quit.
there is a live chat button...upper right...check in there throughout the day. I,m there now.
hang out in here and read.
-
Frosty, are you able to text or use a computer while at the station? My advise is to start getting some phone numbers of some quitters here and have them in place for the crave moments.
-
Yes I have access to all electronics just can't be on them all day long.... especially if we are busy and run calls all day and night I just never know lol...

Right, I know you can be called 24/7..........so slamming water might be out. How about seeds, gum, fake dip? Text when you crave, and hit up the KTC site. I used tea tree toothpicks to gnaw on. Anything but nicotine!

Jolly Ranchers and fireballs!! You should take some time and start reading things here on KTC. More information that you can imagine about your quit.

Welcome Frosty. Your in the right place Brotha. And I'm a fellow firefighter as well. First off be straight up with your crew. Tell them you appologize now for the asshole your gonna be. Thank them in advance for forgiving you and helping you. I can't tell you how many times I had to appologize. Just be honest with them up front. Use your time at the hall to be on the KTC website. Read EVERYTHING. Knowledge is power. This addiction is physical, emotional, physiological, and psychological. When reading things will jump out and speak to you where you are at at that moment in your Quit. Post every F'n day dude. Be a 100% roll poster. I hit 400 days on Sunday and ive never missed one single day of posting. Sick. Vacation. Work. Whatever. Never missed. I never mussed a day of dipping so why shouldnt we give that much to our Quit. It seems like just yesterday I started. There were 2 other firefighters in my quit groups. And I'm embarrassed to tell you what a couple of pussies they were. Don't be a pussy. Grab your balls every morning and man up and be Quit. If I can do this you can do this. I am also a HUGE proponent of Smokey Mountain herbal snuff. Might not have made it with out it. Gives my mouth something to do. It's great. Also. Get all the phone numbers you can. I'm always looking at my phone. Laughing and texting. And the guys at the Hall always say " Quit buddies?" Yep. I'm constantly in touch with Vets that support me, buds in my Quit group, and folks like you that started after me. We are able to Quit because we Quit together. If you go about this alone you won't make it. Gotta make friends and be a friend. You have mail here at KTC. It's your in box. You can receive and send. Find yours and look for a message from me. I'm sending you my number. Shoot me a text or holler. I'll help you and ill quit with you every day.

The advice on getting digits is about the best advice than can be given. KTC is an accountability based system. And it works. When folks cant get ahold of you personally, there isn't really any accountability. Folks that shut out that part of this system are kind of just trying out KTC and still have their other foot in their addiction. Brotha, I encourage you to go all in on your Quit. Leave nothing on the table. Play every card you can. A year from now there will probably be less than 20 Quitters left in your group. You have to decide today where you will be in a year from now. That's all I have to say. You know how to reach me if your serious about Quitting.

Not a fireman, but the quit is the same:
1. Post roll today. Repeat tomorrow and everyday
2. Get some numbers for you cave plan
Follow the program, and you WILL succeed. Stray and you will fail. Pretty simple.
Good luck to you, and welcome!

Stay strong. The best advice I can give I'm only six day quit but stay busy, drink lots of water and always have gum, seeds, or fake dip on hand. We can beat this!
