Hello my fellow quitters, this is my first time here so allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Jacob. I'm 21 years old and started dipping when I was 16 years old when my baseball teammates introduced me to it. I was doing it for a good 3 years straight going through a can every two days, sometimes a can a day. But these last few years I have been off and on about my quit. It wasn't hard at first, i quit up to 6 months before but would eventually get back into it and now it's been very difficult to stop. My last quit was May 1st and that was the first time I was going through hell for those first 3 days. My stomach was killing me and the only resolution seemed like to keep eating food to get that pain to stop, but it was always temporary. Got back into it a month later thanks to thinking I would be fine if i dipped on vacations and away from my house. I've realized I'm addicted, just having that one little pinch would get me back into it again. I don't really have friends or family to support me in my quit. I have a girlfriend who luckily understands me when I mess up but it still hurts her and myself especially since we're involved in our local church. This is why I'm here so I can get the support and accountability I need for when that temptation gets difficult. I've realized it's so much harder to do this by myself. So here goes day 1 again and hopefully my last! I'm excited to be here.

You have come to the right place Jacob, and your realization that you are an addict will make a big difference! First though we need to get a few things straight: you have never quit before. You took a break is all. Also words like hope and luck are not applicable to quitting because you have all the power. You made the choice to put poison in your body all those times, but now you choose to be quit!
Read everything on KTC. Start with the welcome center and learn the basics of quitting the KTC way especially how to post roll. Read cancer stories, intros, HOF speeches, words of wisdom, everything! All the knowledge you need to quit is here. Own your quit. Work your quit. Learn the way we quit at KTC, and live it! You can do this! The KTC plan works, but you must work the plan. You have all the power. PM me if you need anything. Quit with you all day.

Thank you for the support B-loMatt. You are right, i have never quit, just took a break. I have the power to overcome this habit and will work hard to win each battle.

Great choice Jacob. It's nice to see a young fella like yourself make this recognition. I see you have already posted roll. Remember to post roll every day first thing. That's your promise to yourself and us that you will not use today and only today. It's going to be rough at the beginning, so lean on your fellow Stone Cold Quitters and the other members of KTC. I also encourage you to read as much stuff on this site as you can. You will be amazed at what people can overcome. PM me if you need anything.

Listen to these guys, they are walking the walk. Great to see you here, Jluck. Another quit arrow in your quiver can be to stop in our Live Chat room, especially during the 'rage' early on. Take it out on us, we can handle it. Don't take a rage home, leave it in here! Chat and text have saved a lot of quit. Get text #s from others in your Quit Group, trade #s via PM (Private Message), not in here, though. Glad you're here and quit!

Go all in Jacob with your Stoned Turkey Quitters! I quit with you today

Hi Jacob! Welcome. I am just on day 7 and it has been hell, but I am alive. You will be too just power through this. I have a friend from out of town arriving today. He has been quit for 5 years and will be good support for me. He'll be proud of me. Great job committing to no nic today. Day at a time really helps. I too quit for several months at one point so I know I can do it again. Those late triggers after you think you "used to be a chewer" are strong so remember whatever happened after you had quit for 6 months. Best.

Welcome Jacob. I quit with you today.

Welcome Jluck! You have come to the right place to be quit. Quit while you are young and be free for the rest of your life.

JLuck,
This is the place to be if you want to quit and stay that way. Quit for today. Don't worry about tomorrow. This is one of the toughest battles you will ever fight; fight it One Day At A Time.
Get involved. Read all that you can on here, get active in your quit group, exchange numbers with some of the guys/gals in your group and with some quitter who are further along (if you can exchange with vets, that's really helpful, too), post in your intro to let people know how you're doing.
This is a brotherhood. We're proud to stand behind you. Keep your head down and push through.

Make this your first and only quit brother. I like to throw this out to young quitters - $30,000. That's what I threw away over 17 years. I could really use that right now.

Jacob the downfall a lot of young quitters have is they think if they cave now, it's not a big deal because they can start quitting again next week, next month, next year, etc. Don't fall into this trap, my first attempt at quitting was when I was 23 years old. I quit for good 20 years later. Make this your first and only.

Yeah that was a trap i fell for it a few times. I never thought of it as a big deal but i held on to it and it made it that much harder to quit.

Money, health, appearance, reputation - do this now, and never have to do it again. I will always be known as "the cousin that chews" or such, that will never go away.
