Hi there. I abruptly quit on Monday night. I didn't plan on it. I ran out of dip late on Sunday, thought I had a can at work, but did not. Used Snus, 3-4, at work on Monday and decided to give up this shit. I've dipped for ten years. I used it to quit smoking which I only did for three years. I've quit before, about 4-5 times for periods of up to three months. I was absolutely shocked at how hard the first couple of nights have been thus time. I have not been able to sleep. I am generally a grounded person, but the fucking anxiety is insane. My work routine is off a bit this werk, which has actuay helped. I do feel better today and hope I will get some sleep tonight. I am terrified of getting back to my normal work routine tomorrow. Thanks for the stories and posts. Wish me luck tonight and tomorrow.

krzykris,
Welcome you have come to the right place. Your previous 'quits' were just stops, this is your quit!
Get over to the welcome center and figure out how to post roll.
Post your promise to not use any nicotine and tabacco each day and repeat.
Read everything on this site, drink a lot of water and get some gum, seeds or candy.
This site works if you use it.
Proud to quit with you,
Charles

Welcome to freedom!! It's gonna suck for a bit then it will get better. And then it will get great. Just win today, and worry about tomorrow when it gets here. We go one day at a time here, it makes it much more manageable and actually let's you enjoy life and your new freedom. You are free now! Stock up on seeds and atomic fireballs. Chug as much water as you can. Get lots of sleep. Read everything you can on KTC. focus on the HOF speeches and Words of Wisdom sections.
Congratulations and welcome aboard!

Hey Kris
I picked up dip to quit smoking too, ten years ago. Right now I'm six days into no nicotine, and I didn't get any good sleep for the first four. Last night I did though; it does get better. It has to, right, once we stop bathing our nervous systems in poison. It's just an adjustment period. Cinnamon Trident is my best friend right now.
Come post in our Jan '15 (when we'll reach 100 days of freedom) quit group. It's helpful.

Once you post roll, first things first, then drink water, lots of water. While your pissing the time way, read lots of reading here in this hallowed tomes. We are here to help.

We also post a daily promise to not use nicotine for 24 hours. Here is a link to your group. Please post roll so we know you are quit for the day. You may be surprised on how much support you get.
