Hey all,
I was a user for a handful of years, and recently decided I neede to take back control and quit for myself. I turned to my tin for everything - to celebrate, to cope with stress, out of boredom, anything and everything really. However, as of August 17th I have been quit. However, the struggles have not gone away even though the physical symptoms have. I am really trying to join a quit group for some support and to learn how to stay quit. Not sure if I should post today as day 1 or day 54 though. Any and all information would be helpful.
Thanks,

Thanks,
If you have been 100% Nicotine free for 54 days then you should post that and not day 1. I have to say that you are a tough sum bits to already be on day 57 without this site. I am not sure I would be able to make the same proclamation. So your quit group should be November of 2013.
My advice is get to know your group well, exchange some numbers. There are some damn good quitters in that group that in know will welcome you in warmly. If you decide that you need a little more accountability please feel free to PM me and I will share my cell number with you.
I know that KTC will make your quit stronger and I am damn proud of you for not only making the decision but also braving it on your own for some time now too.

Welcme Finny. You are quit for 54 days, so you will need to post roll (Finny Day 54) with the November, 2013 quit group. KTC is a 16,000 member strong group that will help you along the quit path. It is a journey and we support one another each day. We start by posting roll each day and getting involved wherever we can. Congratulations on taking back your life and joining the best support group on the planet. Check your inbox (1) above, as I sent you a PM. It is my telephone number. Use it when you need to talk to someone about this journey. Now, go to November and post roll. Send out some PM's to the November quitters and offer your number in exchange for theirs. Welcome aboard quitter!!

Thank you all. I have been 100% nix free for 54 days - so I will post roll with the November 2013 group. Even though I just signed up today - I have been on the site reading HOF stories for a long time. Finally realized I need some more help along the way. Thanks all.

Better late than never. Yes, get involved here. It will strengthen your quit. I recommend reading everything. Read the intros of folks you find interesting. You will see we all had the same struggles and successes.
Welcome

Welcome Finny! The struggle continues for sure, even long after you don't think you've got the physical symptoms, there's still the mental lots of learning. My hats off to you for making it that far without this site, I'm day 49 today (day 1 = Aug 20) there's no way I would've gotten that far without the accountability support here. Yes I'm in the Nov quit group too. PM me if you want another number.

Welcome aboard and congrats on being 54 days quit. That's awesome

Nice job on posting Day 55 this morning Finny. I was just checking up on you to make sure things were still going well. Keep posting and getting those numbers from the boys in November...those numbers have saved more men from caving than you can imagine. Congrats again.

I joined this site and made my first post on day 63. Thank you, BTW..... I just spent some time looking that up, which reminds me where I came from and why I'm here.
Only three things really matter:
1. You are here.
2. You are quit.
3. You posted roll.
Quit on, bro.

Hey bud you are doing great so far. I know this quitting stuff isn't easy but I know that you can do it. You got a head start all by yourself which proves you have a strong will to quit. Just remember that you have my number and you may use it anytime that you are in need.
I consider myself a pretty strong man but if I had to do my 86 days on my own I would have caved on day 4. There are several individuals on here that will either call or send a text and all of those little notes remind me that I promised to quit today.
After years of training/beatings I am a man of my word and nothing will change that especially some little drug that got me addicted and took away 2/3 of my life. I quit with you today brother.

Finally we have Finny. Finny joined late into his quit and following that form I have not yet received an exact location as to where we need to pick him up! Regardless welcome Finny and Congrats on 100 days of quit!
Update: Finny finally sent me his coordinates! This quitter isn't married but been with his girlfriend for 5 years. Lives in Chicago, Illinois and is a big Blackhawks fan.. (Go Red Wings!!) He plans to celebrate his 100 days out with his girl and brothers. His words of wisdom for everyone are "Remember why you came to this site. If you didn't want to quit you wouldn't have wound up here. Also, remember the ABCs of quitting - accountability, brotherhood, and commitment." When asked if he was planning to sign up for 200 he responded "You bet your ass I am!" That's an answer I can get behind Finny!
Congrats brother, enjoy your day!
