Ive been chewin for 7 years and I have been trying to quit for 3 of those years I suffer from anxiety and chewin does not help I always think I im going to get cancer and im sick if living life that way because of a stupid tin can. I need all the support I can get day one begins today.

Good on ya - you've posted roll and intro'd yourself
Your quit decision MUST be 100% your decision. Anything short of that sets you up for failure by allowing your addict brain to blame a given situation as reason for you to go back to the can.
Start pounding water - maybe some cranberry juice to flush the toxins out of your system. Your about to go on a roller coaster ride of emotions so find a exercise of some type you can take your frustration and anxiety out on .
Your quit shouldn't be based on fear of cancer - fear will move you only so far - courage of taking your life back will fuel your quit more productively.
Keep your word

I will welcome you. I can relate to the health fears and paranoia. It is one of those reasons that prompted me to seek this place out. I am 16 days into my quit.
Make sure you post your QUIT in the ROLL CALL DAILY.
Drink loads of fluids and find oral subs, carrots, gum, seeds, or even the fake dip (like smoky mountain). Whatever it takes.

this helps keeps each of us accountable to the other.

Duuuuuuuuude....put it away...you got this...first of all, tell us a little about yourself...your addiction and what not. You've been chewing for seven years...that means you could be 30 or you could be 17. Fear is a big motivator to quit...i tried using fear a bunch of times but fear can be overcome fairly easily in the addicted mind. You have to WANT to quit. You have to hate the slavery that it keeps you in. Read everything you can on this site...some stories can be more relevant depending on where you are in your life but they are all worth a read.
I saw you try to post roll and kuddos....i about threw my computer through the window of my office when i tried to figure it out...do that every morning, promis you won't chew and stand by your word that day. One day at a time...hell at first it's one hour or even one minute at a time....it will suck balls...you will find that some on here like to do that. Quit on brother...welcome to august group.

DD, your surrounded by, a lot of quit on this site. 15,000 plus members.
Day three you're right in the middle of the suck! Foggy as shit, not sleeping craving like an animal.
Drink water, eat your seed, chew your gum, whatever you need to do, do it! When you crave, do push ups until you cant take a breath. You just have to fight, to win over this addiction.
Ill help you in that fight but you have to be accountable, can you do all that? If you can were all with you, and will hand you all of the support you need.

Yep, lots of help here, but you gotta do the heavy lifting. Come on back and share a bit about yourself. Parallels in life build strong bonds here.
There's even a thread for anxiety and depression, with guys who post regularly in there. I challenge you to find it and reach out to some of those folks. That'll keep you distracted for a while, and they can help you with what you're going through.
If you need help with any of that, shoot me a PM. I'll point you in the right direction.
Glad to see you here.

dd, the quit is for you, not for the people you work with.
Post your daily quit so you can be accountable to someone other than yourself. You want to quit. if you post in Roll Call we know you are serious. if you don't post, we suppose you ain't serious.
I've only been quit for 16 days, I know from personal experience I've been able to reach several members by phone when a CRAVINB hit me. and was able to get past it.
The worst of the physical shit was over in a week for me, now it's the head games.
Take it a day at a time. Post roll..

My name is Justin Hunton and I have been 4 days without a dip!!! This is the longest I have gone since before I started. I have dipped a can a day for 16 years and I'm done with it! I finally got tired of hearing my little boy ask me about it so I said enough is enough. I tried to find a group for my quit day but I'm new at this.
