A friend who was on day 50 told me about this site this weekend, so I'm making my first post today. I've been smoking cigarettes for close to 7 years and have kinda-sorta tried quitting in the past, but I'm taking a stand today. I haven't tried quitting with any kind of real accountability yet, so I'm looking forward to it. Not smoking yesterday was okay, but today had a few waves with some pretty strong cravings. Nothing too bad yet -- I just know if I take one more smoke, I'll be off the wagon and back to a half pack a day overnight. Anyways, thanks for reading, y'all. Best wishes to everybody.

Welcome to KTC. Unfortunately, nicotine comes in many forms and many of us have been hooked on some or all of them. Here we quit through brotherhood and accountability. Get to know folks on here and post roll every damn day. Speaking of which, head on over to the July 2015 pre-HOF group and post your promise for TODAY.

Whyenot,
Glad I see you taking the plunge and joing KTC. I encourage you to read the welcome center on the community page. Here it will talk about the contract you must read before trying any nicotine, it discusses the symptoms you are going to encounter and how to post roll. Posting roll is the price of admission here, every day you need to get up, piss and then post roll. In that order, your morning wood should still be standing when you post.
Your quit group is July 2015. This means you will hit the 100 day hall of fame, what our 1st goal here is, in July. Go there and say hello, post roll and exchange numbers with the other members of that group. This is what builds the accountability you will require over the next number of days.
Remember my friend, one day at a time. The nicotine bitch is a tricky one and she will toy wih long term thoughts. Just focus on today
Happy to quit with you my friend

Welcome, stay strong.
Listen to that advice from the long-timers!
