Hi All,
Just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself to the site and let everyone know that I have quit for good! No excuses! My story is pretty much the same as everyone else's... 10 plus years a slave to the can...Etc Etc... I'm on day five of my quit, and it feels awesome! I own this quit!

Welcome Lon,
I see you have gotten into the habit of posting roll. That IS a habit to have going forward. Sounds weird but by posting roll here everyday, and by getting involved with other quitters it adds accountability.....something we all can use to get through the dog days of quitting. Good luck bud, quitting is one of the best decisions I ever made, hope it will be for you as well.

Thanks for the welcome Dagranger! I think you are spot on with posting and that it adds "personal accountability." I have posted roll three days now and I honestly believe that it helps me maintain focus for the next 24 hours, and definitely gives me something else to focus on and look forward to the following morning.

Welcome aboard! You can do this!

Welcome Bro. Finishing up my first 24 hours. Having someone to get text reminders from or encouragement from is pretty damn awesome. Get some digits!

Thanks for the welcome Brothers! Bhaktan, congrats on making it to day two!

This is spot on. Getting to day 2, or day 3, or day 3000 is no different. Each day you succeed in not putting nicotine into your body is a victory. And every day you win should be congratulated and make you feel fantastic. Kudo's for calling that out so quickly. My only contradiction to my own words, those of us who made it beyond the fog understand that the first days, are arguably the hardest...so congrats to you too.

One day at a time my friend. That's all you gotta do. No heavy expectations and no thoughts of the future. All you have to do is remain nicotine free for 24 hours then make the commitment to come back and do it all over again the next day. If you need help along the way, make contacts and use them. I have found it helpful to participate in many other quit in an effort to offer my support to anyone who wants it because, as you may know, the more we help others, the more we help ourselves. Quit on brother.
